~.~ Tamaki's POV ~.~
"Okay so you'll be stopping by tomorrow?" I asked into the phone. "Yes, before we take off to Texas" Andrea answered and. I could hear Lani singing off key in the background. "Alright until then!" I said and we both hung up. I was happy we would get to see Andrea tomorrow because for a while she hadn't been able to visit due to some difficulties with a restaurant down the street.
I sighed and then slid into my blankets and turned on my side. "Goodnight my lovelies" I muttered and closed my eyes.
I woke up (or so I thought!) on the side of the road, standing as if I was waiting to cross the street. "What the..." I muttered and looked around. It looked like any other day in Japan. People buzzing about and minding their own business. I turned my attention to what was right in front of me and would have gasped if a crowd of people waiting to cross hadn't started shoving me forward. I gave in but stared at the limo that was about to turn.
There was Richard, sitting in the passengers seat and Jessica staring forward but talking to someone behind her. Then she started to look as if she was shouting in argument. I stood on the other side of the road and stared. Then she with the sudden movement of her hand, the turning signal changed and they turned in the opposite way of the direction they were originally going to go in.
"This doesn't look good or feel right" I said then. I still couldn't wrap my head around what was going on. "Excuse me, miss, but do you mind telling what day it-" I started to ask a woman walking by but she didn't seem to see me. I frowned and turned to someone else, "Hello, sir? I'm sorry to interrupt but-" the same thing. He didn't even glance at me.
Then I thought, "Think, Tamaki, you've seen stuff like this in the movies! What happens next!" I brought the side of my fist unto the palm of my hand, "That's it! They save the world!" I looked around, feeling that it was my job, no, my DUTY!
I closed my eyes. Maybe I had superpowers! But when I opened them again I found myself at the beach! And not just ANY beach. I was in Hawaii! "I can transport!" I shouted and I had the same reaction from everyone here as I did back in Japan. And it wasn't entirely bad because..well..
I was in my pajamas...
Suddenly, I turned to the sea and watched the waves. And right then and there I saw my favorite little girl. Lani. She was being tossed around in the waves and now I understood. I was in the past! I had to save Lani! I ran as fast as I could. "Lani!!! Lani, hold on, uncle Tamaki's coming!"
I could feel myself getting closer and closer to the ocean but suddenly one giant wave came and swallowed her. I shook my head and sped up, determined not to let her die. "Just hold on!" I panted. The lifeguard easily passed me up and dove into the ocean but i could feel that it was too late. I wasn't giving up though. I tugged off my pijama shirt and threw it aside, then jumped into the deep, cold water.
I searched when I was down in the water for Lani and the life guard. I swam around but my air supply was getting low and the water was getting more furious by the minute. Then I felt my self rise. "No! No!" I thought, as i realized the wave was lifting me up.
I rocketed upwards and my head broke through the surface for a very short time, but just enough time to see a crowd of people around Lani's small body ln with two parent figures, crying by her side. "No.." I panted raggedly.
Then, I blinked and found myself soaking wet by a hospital bed. I could feel a tear roll down my cheek but in the hospital bed, lay an old man. A doctor was talking with another doctor, "Food poisoning. What a pity" she whispered. I frowned and recognized the old man. "You ate the puffer fish?!" I shouted but naturally no one heard me. I took my face in my hands and then rushed to the doctors, "There's gotta be a way!! Are you even trying?" I argued but the doctors turned away just in time for the flat-line to ring through the hospital room.
I turned in panic to the old man who slept eternally. "Damn it" I muttered and held his hand tightly and bowed my head with my eyes closed. For a good long minute I didn't do anything. Then I let go of his hand and opened my eyes. I found my self staring at the side of Kyoya's face.
"Ah!" I shouted and fell backwards. Kyoya stood facing Macy. Neither even smiled. I looked around. "Am in a...wedding?" I asked. The organ played and the host stayed in the crowd, but the whole thing looked more like a funeral than a wedding!
"You may now kiss the bride" the priest announced. Kyoya brought himself closer to Macy who also hesitated. But finally then kissed and only half of the crowd cheered. "Ha! Are you serious?" I called out and stood. "You're not supposed to marry HER! Youre supposed to marry Andrea! Davenport, remember?" I asked as if I was talking to my soaps.
(But its not like I watch soaps or anything!)
The couple turned to the crowd and walked down the isle, both with grave faces. I got out of their way and watched them makes their way to the overjoyed Mr.Ootori. "Ah finally! I'm glad that at last you two are married." he smiled. Kyoya looked horrible but nodded anyway, "Ofcourse. I couldn't imagine loving anyone else." he muttered.
"N-no..." I trailed off as Macy looked away, a tear falling down her cheek. Then suddenly, I heard, "Time to wake up!"
"What?? What?" I asked until I opened my eyes to find myself on the ground with two maids smiling politely. "Goodmorning" they greeted. I gasped, "You can see me?!" I questioned. They looked puzzled before answering, "Y-yes Mr. Suoh, we can see you just fine." I grinned, "Y-you mean Lani is still alive? So is that old man? And Kyoya isn't married to Macy?!" I asked. "I think you need breakfast" they responded.
~.~ Later ~.~
"Are Andrea, Kyoya and Lani here yet?" I asked the twins restlessly. "Not yet boss, geez" they muttered. "Why are you so anxious today?" Haruhi asked. I bit my lip, not knowing how to answer. But just then, the doors opened and I saw Kyoya. But where was Andrea?!
"Sorry I'm not as fast a walker, geez" she came trailing behind. I sighed in relief, but then remembered. Where's Lani! "Yaaaaaaaay!!! Uncle Tamaki!" Lani sprinted in and ran to me. I grinned, "Lani!! Oh uncle Tamaki is so happy to see you!! You don't even know!!!" I cried and held her tight.
"Jeepers! Uncle Tamaki I can't....breathe!" she panted. I gasped, "Oh yeah, right." I put her down and got up from my knee. Kyoya and and Andrea came along holding hands, "Geez Tamaki why are you so weird today?" Andrea asked with a model frown that looked like she was posing for a picture. "Oh Andrea! You're so beautiful! And Kyoya-" he interrupted me, "Dont complement me in any way" he muttered.
"You two belong together" I smiled. Macy then came in hugging Naoki. "Hey guys just wanted to say bye! Have fun in Texas!" she giggled. "Yes! Have much much fun!!" I shouted. Everyone stared at me, not knowing what to say.
"Tamaki." muttered Mori then stepped forward, "go back to sleep." Everyone laughed and laughed. Even I did. I was happier than ever and thankful for Andrea.
But seriously, I'm never sleeping again.
