Part 17

Sungjong_POV

As we were all sitting and talking about the dream walking Melody and I did, one of our managers came rushing into the lounge. "You guys need to see this!"

He handed his phone over and we watched the video that had been uploaded. It was a short video of Melody being slapped, Brittany saying that Melody stole a guy from her and me appearing and stopping Brittany from hitting Melody again.

"It looks like they all think that Melody stole you from her" Sungyeol chuckled.

"Yeah" Myungsoo commented. "The comments are saying the same thing" he said as he scrolled through the feed.

"Looks like we are going to have to address this soon" Sunggyu said.

I looked at Melody and said "I'm sorry."

She gave me a peck on the lips and then said "You don't have to apologize."

"But I should have told you I was an idol" I insisted.

"It doesn't matter" she replied. "We can't change the past."

"What are we going to do?" I was worried.

"We go down there and tell them the truth" she said. "It's just a big misunderstanding."

"How can you be so calm about all this?" Myungsoo asked her.

"Yeah! Why aren't you freaking out?" Sunggyu asked.

"After having to deal with Brittany for the past few years, I've kind of learned how to hide my emotions well" she chuckled. "Believe me...... I'm a nervous wreck right now, but I know that I need to keep it together if we are going to get through this. I can have my mental break down later."

"Where can I find a girl like her?" Woohyun asked.

"Oh no you don't" I said as I pulled Melody close to me. "She's mine! Go dream up your own girlfriend."

Melody_POV

Everyone laughed at Sungjong's comment and the tension that had filled the room disappeared.

We had Sungjong's manager talk with the convention staff to arrange an impromptu fan meeting so that we could explain the situation. 

"This is crazy!" Brittany said. "The fans are going to kill me!"

I stood beside her and said "It couldn't be crazier than dream dating a guy halfway across the world."

"Touché" she laughed. When she finally stopped, she said "You're really lucky."

"What do you mean?"

"Jongie is a great guy. You look good together."

"Jongie?" my eyes widened in shock. "Why are you calling him that?"

"Oh" she chuckled. "That's just a cute little nickname fans use some times."

Suddenly I remembered the girls on the bus and screamed "They were talking about Sungjong?"

"Who was?" Brittany asked.

"There were some girls on the bus the other day. I happened to overhear part of their conversation. They were talking about 'Jongie' having a girlfriend and hoping that he would be happy with her. I could tell that they were talking about some celebrity that was going to be at KCON, but I didn't realize that it was Sungjong they were talking about."

Brittany giggled "I guess I have a lot to teach you."

"Why would you be the one to teach her?" Charles asked. "I know a lot too" he whined.

I linked my arms with the both of them and giggled "Don't you two start fighting now. I can learn from the both of you."

Sungjong_POV

"Better watch out Sungjong" Hoya said.

"Why?"

"It looks like her friends are going to be teaching her about KPOP" he chuckled as he put an arm on my shoulder.

I looked over at Melody and smiled as I watched her laugh and joke with her friends. "That's okay. I don't mind."

"Seriously?" Dongwoo was shock, as were the other members.

"What if they showed her a video of you doing a girl group dance?" Sungyeol asked.

I looked at him and asked "Why would that bother me?"

Myungsoo grabbed his phone and walked over to Melody. "Take a look at this and tell me what you think" he said as he showed her something on his phone.

"Cute" she said. "That picture came out well."

"Do you know who that is?" he asked with a large grin.

"That's Sungjong!" she replied back with a similarly large grin.

His face dropped and he stood there in shock.

Brittany turned to look at her in shock as well. "How could you tell?"

She looked at me and smiled. 

"I never told her what I did for work, but I did show her a few things so she wouldn't be too shocked!" I called out to them.

Dongwoo jumped up and put me in a headlock "You little brat!"

Melody_POV

We were all laughing and joking when their manager came in and said "They are ready for you guys downstairs."

Sungjong walked over to me and asked "Are you ready?"

"As I'll ever be" I replied with a nervous smile.

"Don't worry you two" one of the members of Sungjong's group said as he walked over to us. "We will be here to support you."

"Us too!" Brittany shouted as she held up Charles's hand.

We made our way down to the room the fan meeting was being held in and waited backstage.

My heart began to pound as the announcer began his speech. "Hello everyone!" the announcer called out over the crowd. "I'm sure you all are curious and excited about this special fan meeting. So, without further ado, let's bring out the guests of the hour. Please give a warm welcome to Infinite!"
