Try Not to Laugh Challenge (Vados x Reader)

I've missed writing these small and simple oneshots... This one is, as stating, short and sweet. I hope you enjoy it!

         A small giggle leaves your lips as you finish yet another vine compilation. These have become your life recently. Something soon catches your eye, and a large grin breaks onto your face. Try Not to Laugh Challenge? It can't be too hard, right? Your finger hovers over the icon before you stop. These challenges are fun and all, but not when you're on your own. No... If you're going to do this, then you need a partner to pit yourself against! And the first person that comes to mind makes you nod. Time to find a partner!

         "It sounds rather childish."

         "Vados, come on!" you beg, giving your best puppy dog eyes. "It won't be any fun if I'm doing it on my own! Aren't you even slightly curious as to what videos are in it?" Vados continues to give you the same, level stare.

         "(Y\N)."

         "Vados." The angel continues to stare silently before sighing and rubbing her temples. A small smile works its way onto your lips; hooked and caught!

         "How long is it?"

         "It's only seven minutes long, I promise!' you say, showing her your phone's screen. "So, you wanna join in on the fun?" Vados pinches the bridge of her nose before nodding. "Yes!

         You and the angel sit in your guest room as you pull up the video on your laptop. Your phone is way too small for the two of you to watch it on. Once the video starts loading, you fall back and sit next to the bored looking woman.

         "First one to laugh, loses," you nod, eyes shining with determination. Vados hums and tucks her legs close to her form. "Are you ready?"

         "Of course."

         "Then let's start the challenge!"

         Three videos in and you're already wheezing from trying to contain your laughter. You haven't broken yet, however! Soon a video of a cat standing at a gate comes up, and you tense; animal videos are your weakness!

         "Don't do it," you whisper, narrowing your eyes. Your prayers go unanswered, as it is a recorded video. You watch as the cat leaps into the air, only to get caught on the baby gate. The feline in the video flips and hits the ground, and you're gone. You're shaking as you laugh, much to the angel's amusement. Vados leans closer to the laptop and shakes the mouse, revealing that you only lasted a measly thirty seconds.

         "It appears I won," Vados hums, which makes you pout. You look back at the video and cross your arms. She hasn't even budged!

         "Whoever laughs the most loses," you offer, which makes Vados roll her eyes. You're determined to win, huh?

         "Fine, it's not like I have anything better to do," she sighs before allowing the video to continue. "But I have a feeling I'm going to win."

         Forty eight seconds in, and you're laughing yet again. A man attempting to scare an elderly woman reveals his face, and she screams. You're struggling to breathe, and Vados is smirking at your reaction.

         "I believe that's two, is it not?" You send a weak glare as you finally calm down. When you look back at the screen, you start laughing yet again. The old lady's face! "Three." You calm down again, allowing her to play the next clip. A male runs at a wall, hits it, and then falls to the ground. You're laughing, yet again. "Four." The video rolls right into the next clip, which is one you recognize.

         "I do parkour!" the male shouts, and you're laughing yet again as he runs at the pile of mattresses.

         "Five, and we're at a single minute," Vados hums, teasing you. You calm down and cover your face; curse your giggly nature!

         You've lost to Vados, as she predicted. The problem, however, is the fact that you don't know your score. You were laughing practically every other video! All you know is that Vados is at a nice zero. The most she did throughout the video was smile, and it wasn't even at the clip! You just so happened to fall off of your bed during a laughing fit...

         "Is that all? It was hardly an impressive challenge," the angel hums. You watch as she stands up from your bed, and you pout. What can you honestly expect?

         "You know, you could've thrown me a bone," you grumble, sitting up from your mattress. Vados raises a brow and smirks.

         "And what would that have done?"

         "I wouldn't have felt so childish," you huff, pouting as you cross your arms. The sight of you acting like this makes Vados chuckle, then laugh quietly. The sound is musical, especially as she's been so silent for the past seven minutes. "What's so funny?"

         "You're too adorable," she confesses, leaning down to pinch your cheek. You wince and attempt to swat her hand away, which makes her laugh a little more. "Tell me if you find another challenge. I'd love to see you like this again," she teases before leaving you in your room. You stick your tongue out at the door, but smile regardless. At least she enjoyed herself, right?
