Apologizes for disappearing a few days, but I have a lot going on right now! I have sixteen assignments I have to finish in a week, and everything is being thrown at me now (End of the year garbage, and whatnot). My daily updates were something I prided myself in, so I'm disappointed that I've lost that ;-;
Anyways, this is the final chapter in the reverse harem au. I hope you enjoy it!
There are many mysteries in the world. However, if you're serving under the King of Everything, many of these mysteries have answers. Daishinkan knows where life comes from; there are gods dedicated to this very task. He doesn't question his life's meaning; he is meant to serve Zeno, well, both of them. There is one mystery, however, that Daishinkan has no answer to. Soulmates are a complicated thing, and he's never thought too much about them. Mortals run laps around each other while trying to find 'the one', only for the amusement of the gods. None of the deities have such nonsense to worry about... Well, that was the belief anyways.
The name on his wrist goes against every single thing he's ever known of soulmates. He's not supposed to have one; he needs to stay out of the lives of mortals. He knows this, but he can't help but look into who his soulmate is.
He can't help watching your entire life, from birth to present. He knows you're just as strange as him; no mortal has more than one mark. But it surpasses that. Not only do you have an angel, the Grand Priest, as one soulmate but also three Shinjins (Even if one was in another body).
Currently Daishinkan watches as you speak with the two most recent soulmates. You're exasperated, and you're clearly being pushed by the two gods. He watches it all from his seat, hands folded over his crossed legs. Is his heartbeat's speed caused by an actual attraction? Or is it influenced by his timer? Speaking of, your remaining timer has no name. A curious thing, but it makes sense as the Grand Priest is technically nameless. Who needs one when Daishinkan works fine?
The angel hums and leans back in his chair; how should he progress? Approaching you wouldn't be easy, nor would it be a good idea. Imagine the drama tied to him favoring a Universe Seven mortal?
Daishinkan breathes a sigh through his nose and turns his attention back to your face. How can you be so blissfully unaware of his trouble?
---
"Why stay here with these simians?" Zamasu whispers, grabbing your wrist. You sigh and shake your hand from his grasp, he's really been pushing this recently. "(Y\N)-"
"Zamasu," you say, folding your arms across your chest. "I am happy here. Everyone is happy here aside from you two," you say, narrowing your eyes. "I won't force you to like it, but I will remind you that I choose to be here for a reason." An arm wraps around your waist, and you're pulled against someone's chest.
"Darling, would it not be best for us to kill them all? You'll forget them in time, and-"
"Black, I swear I'll take your hand on permanently," you hiss, annoyed that neither will take a hint. A short distance away, you can spot Goten and Turles high-fiving. Those two have certainly grown close... Well, the enemy of your enemy is your friend, right?
"Look, those filthy apes have already tricked you into speaking like them," Zamasu argues, sending a glare in the duo's direction. You huff and stalk away, only to be followed by the two murderous gods.
"Will you two just go away?"
"We won't be leaving without you," Black hums, stepping in front of you. "And if you won't be coming with us, we'll have to convince you to leave."
"Lovely, but you're wasting your breath." You duck around him before jogging over to Trunks, Gohan, and Shin. The three give you a smile, which you return. At least there are some mature and sane people here! You take your usual seat between Gohan and Shin, and you look to your remaining soulmate mark. Zamasu and Black still haven't gotten used to the arrangement, and it's been several months! Will this last person be just as difficult to include? You rub your face before shaking your head. Maybe a nap would be good...
---
Daishinkan watches as you speak with your (Calmer) soulmates for a short amount of time, and then he perks up when he sees you go off on your own. A nap? Perhaps now would be as good a time as any... Standing from his seat, the Grand Priest summons a staff (Which he hasn't had to do in ages). With a small smile, he prepares to meet you.
---
When you open the door to your bedroom, you're shocked to find that it's a different room entirely. Once you realize this, you turn to leave the mystery room, only to find that your door is gone. Panic floods you when you notice this; what the hell is going on?!
"Good afternoon, (Y\N)," a voice interrupts, which makes you turn around. A male stands in front of you and offers a kind smile (Though it is a little unsettling). "Apologizes for taking you from your home like that, but I had to meet you." He holds up a wrist that reveals your name, followed by a timer at zero. You look at your own arm, and sure enough yours is stopped as well.
"You're the last one?"
"Indeed."
"You say that as if you know the situation," you say, looking back at him. "If that's the case, then you already understand the issue, right?"
"Well, my Dear, I am aware of your problems, and I hope you'll listen to mine." You blink in surprise before nodding, which makes him smile. "Pardon me, but I don't believe I've introduced myself... You may call me Daishinkan, Dear."
"Daishinkan... It suits you," you smile as the male leads you to a small tea table (Wich wasn't there a few seconds ago). "So, what would you like to tell me?"
"You've thrown everything off, my Dear, which is what I'd like to speak to you about."
---
"So, gods aren't supposed to have soulmates?" you hum, leaning back in your seat. You furrow your brows as the Grand Priest nods.
"Indeed, yet you have four of us tied to you. This is a very strange thing, and I'm not sure I understand it myself." You sigh through your nose and you send him a confused look.
"So what do you intend to do?"
"If you're worried for your safety, have no fear. I don't plan on harming you," Daishinkan says, setting a hand over yours. "It would hurt me to do so..." He removes his hand before looking to the side with a frown. "I'm not sure how we progress, to be completely honest. I have my duties to attend to, and you have many soulmates you must be with... I regret to admit that I can't go with you, and you can't stay here." For some strange reason, your heart clenches at this.
"You're a very important person; I understand why this is the case," you say, giving him a smile. Grand Priest mimics this, but his expression is just as faked.
"Perhaps you could visit? We can't spend all of our time together, but at least we could have some alone time..."
"Small visits?" You look up before smiling faintly. "Yeah, I guess that would work..." Daishinkan smiles and stands, helping you up.
"I'm glad we agree," he says, bringing a hand to your face. He tucks some hair behind your ear before sending a closed eye smile. "I'll be watching over you whenever I have the chance." This makes you blush, causing the angel to chuckle.
"You don't have to laugh..."
"I can't help it, Dear." Daishinkan then brings his face close to yours, and leaves a chaste kiss on your lips. The simple action makes your face explode in a blush, causing his smile to turn slightly more suggestive. "We'll be together soon." With that your world shifts and sways until you're standing in your bedroom. Everything is how you left it, which makes you wonder if any of that truly happened. When you look at your wrist, however, a small laugh leaves your lips. No more timers counting...
"I'll see you soon, Daishinkan."
