Whoop whoop! This one was a request from the fantastic Leonv21! I hope you enjoy it!
You giggle as you run between the legs or your superior-turned-babysitter. Roh. The grouchy and uptight God of Creation shouts out in anger, and tries to move you away from his legs.
"You little brat!" he snarls before running after you. "When I get my hands on you, I'll wring out your little neck!" You squeal and continue to run, thinking this is nothing more than a fun game of tag. The chase goes on like this until someone clears their throat, making Roh stop and turn around. "L-Lord Sidra!"
"What's going on?" the God of Destruction asks. Mojito stands behind him, eyes narrowed at the small child hiding behind Roh's legs. "What is that thing?"
"M-My assistant, (Y\N), was transformed into this little monstrosity," Roh explains quickly. He turns swiftly, attempting to grab you, but you dodge. The Shinjin scowls at your grin before turning back to Sidra. "I've been trying to catch the little shit stain all morning," he hisses. "With no luck." You giggle and run to the table that Roh is usually sitting at. You crawl underneath the table cloth, only to let out a scream of surprise when someone lifts up the other side of the cloth. Mojito quickly reaches under the table and pulls you out. He balances you in his arms before returning to Sidra's side.
"I don't see what's so difficult," he hums, reaching over to you and poking your nose. You go cross-eyed before laughing, which makes Mojito smile faintly.
"Just hand the brat over," Roh spits bitterly. Mojito frowns before shifting you further away from the God of Creation. "What are you doing? That is my assistant-"
"And she won't be very helpful like this, so I don't see why I must hand her over." Sidra looks between the two before crossing his arms.
"Give the brat to the man," he orders, but Mojito doesn't move. Why should he listen? He's stronger than the two of them combined! "Mojito, did you hear me? I told you to-"
"I don't see the point," Mojito huffs, tucking you closer to himself. "And, if I must, I will go to the higher ups. I'm sure the King of Everything would love to know about his subordinates and their treatment of a child." This threat makes the two go stiff and look nervous.
"Fine, you win," Sidra sighs, rubbing his face. "But you're caring for the brat until this is fixed," he growls. Mojito nods before shifting you to his other arm. He'll care for you. He'll make these fools eat their words.
---
Mojito hums under his breath as he cleans up after Sidra. The God of Destruction had thrown a fit over something trivial, though it is most likely in retaliation of bringing the child home with them. Speaking of which, you're currently sitting in a booster seat with an assorted array of fruits and vegetables. Instead of eating, however, you're just playing with the colorful chunks of food.
"You're going to get sick if you don't eat," Mojito warns, stepping closer. He kneels down slightly in order to be at eye level with you. The sight of your messy face and hair makes him chuckle a bit and shake his head. Who knew a Shinjin could be such an adorable toddler? "Your ears are still so big," he hums, "You look rather strange." You babble back at him, and reach up with your hands. "No, you're staying in that seat until you finish eating," he states firmly. The angel then pulls up a seat and sits down.
"Mojito!" a voice barks, which makes the angel scowl. What could Sidra possibly want now? "Mojito!" The attendant stands before wagging a finger in your face.
"When I come back, I don't want to see anything," he warns. You blink up at him and your head bobs up and down. Now the angel knows you don't understand, but the image still makes him smile. "Good. I'll be right back." Mojito leaves the room swiftly; the sooner Sidra is shut up, the better.
---
When Mojito strolls back into the kitchen, he notices the food still on the plate. But that's not important. No, the fact that your seat is empty is the big cause for concern. This is the exact opposite of what he wanted!
"(Y\N)?" he calls, walking around the room. "(Y\N), where did you go?" He runs around the room while lifting various items. Where can you possibly be hiding? Mojito eventually spots a couple stains on the ground, effectively creating a trail. "(Y\N)!"
Outside the temple is the largest field of flowers your temporarily-turned-toddler eyes have seen. The plants cause you to release a loud squeal as you start to grab at the stems. Soon you're face to leg with a familiar looking blue, which makes you look up at smile at the attendant. Mojito sighs, then scoops you up into his arms. You're muddy and covered in fruit juices.
"Time for a bath, I suppose," Mojito sighs, shaking his head. Who knew children could be this difficult?
---
The bath went by with little issues (Though you did throw a fit when it came time to leave the bubbles), and now it's time for you to go to sleep. Mojito cradles you in his arms as he walks through the temple; your quiet breaths cause him to smile softly. Such innocence... It's a shame you'll be given back to that fool, Roh.
The two of you come to a stop in front of one of the many bedrooms within the temple (Despite having two people living here), and Mojito nudged the door open with his foot. He then carries you over to the large bed and sets you down, tucking you in. As he turns to leave, something grabs him and keeps him there.
"Oh?" When he looks down, he can see your tired gaze looking up at him. "(Y\N), you need to sleep." Tears gather in your eyes, which makes him tense. No more crying, please. "What would you like, hm? Would you be happy with a story?" He's given no answer, but it's his only choice. "Alright. A story it is." He sits on the bed and brushes some of your hair from your face. What could he possibly tell you? If he's being honest, creativity was not something that came naturally to him...
"One day," he begins, slow and soft. "One day a moon like any other was looking upon a planet of simple creatures..." He draws off and frowns. This is a rough way to start, huh? "This was not the first time, as the moon cared deeply for all the living things that called the planet home. And on that one night, the moon thought and thought. What could possibly give the creatures more happiness? Now, this is no easy question..."
"So the moon took a part of itself, a ray of light, and formed it into the perfect guardian. One who could look over the humans in its place..." Mojito rubs his face and searches for a way to continue the story. "That guardian was soon dubbed 'Star', a name from ancient legends. Now the moon had a soldier to fight off the darkness, but there was very little it could do on its own." You let out a small yawn, which makes him breathe a sigh of relief. "So the moon thought and thought, before it came up with another idea. It gave up all of the remaining light, and created hundreds, no, billions of soldiers. They shares the same name, and this is how the universe got its stars." This makes the angel wince; how terrible was that story?
When he looks down at you, you're fully asleep. Your form moves with every breath, but you're utterly peaceful. Mojito leans against the bedframe and shuts his eyes. Who knew a child could be such a handful? Nevertheless, it's nice... Fulfilling, in a way. Soon, without realizing it, the angel dozes off and the two of you stay like this for the rest of the night.
