"Demi is going to fucking kill you!" Marissa hissed, as she pulled into your driveway. The two of you had been out, running some errands when you had come across a shelter, with the most adorable puppy in the window. The owner had told them that he was the runt of the litter and all his siblings had been adopted and with one look of those puppy dog eyes, you couldn't turn him down. "She specifically told you no more dogs after you got Ella!"
"I know but-"
"And this dog is going to double the size of both Batman and Ella! Oh my god, she's actually going to kill you then me for allowing you to do this then you all over again! I hope you've got your funeral plans written down in your diary because if Demi has anything to do with it, you'll be in the backyard!" Mar rambled on and on and you couldn't help but smirk. She was right, your ass was dead but she was taking it way too far.
"Mar, chill! I won't throw you under the bus for it and it'll be fine-"
"Fine?! You bought a puppy without asking her first-"
"I'll hide the puppy and introduce the topic slowly, I won't just bombard her with the cutest little puppy in all the world!" You cooed to the puppy, currently sleeping in your arms. "Ok, could you maybe distract her while I take him upstairs-"
"No! I'm not getting involved. Now get out and let me get a head start on running away to Canada before she finds me." Rolling your eyes, you get out of the car, disturbing the puppy in the process.
"I'm sorry baby." You pouted, taking the few things you'd had bought for him and waving goodbye to Marissa.
"Rest in peace bitch!" She exclaimed before driving back out of the gates, leaving you to face the demon- the very cute demon waiting inside.
Creeping up to the front door, you looked through the windows beside and saw nobody was around. Carefully, unlocking the door, you headed inside and creeped towards the stairs.
"Baby? Is that you?" Shit!
"Yeah Dem but i'm just gonna run and change!"
"Wait-" As soon as you heard her little footsteps, you sprinted up the stairs and ran straight into the spare room, slamming the door shut and locking it.
"Oh shit." You whispered to yourself, placing the small puppy on the bed as it ran back to nibble at your fingers. "It's ok baby, mommy's just about to get her ass beat by your other mommy."
"Y/N?"
"Yeah?" Wincing as the door was attempted to be opened, you could imagine the frown on Demi's face.
"What's going on? Open the door." She demanded. God, even her angry voice made you want to run.
"I- I can't."
"And why's that?"
"Because... Because... Um- I have your Christmas present in here!"
"Christmas present? It's April."
"Did I say Christmas? I meant birthday!"
"Y/N, open the door."
"Demi, I-"
"I swear to god, open the door before I take it off." You had no doubt that she wouldn't go down to the garage, grab a hammer and break through the door.
"Fine, I just want to make it clear that I love you. And I love my life so please don't hurt me. Actually, could you take off all sharp objects you're currently wearing? Earrings, rings-"
"You do know the longer you keep me waiting, the more annoyed I'm getting?"
"Fine." You groan, taking one last look at the puppy before standing. Carefully, you picked up the fur ball and wrapped him up in your jacket, hiding him from view.
