Trinity woke up to her alarm. "Great," Trinity thought, "my first day at Right Wing." Trinity rolled out of bed and the smell of waffles filled the air. She followed the scent down the stairs and into the kitchen. Her mom was cooking breakfast, not gone, or leaving a note like back in Colorado. She sat down as her mom put a plate in front of her.

"Eat up. I'm going to drive you to school, so you don't have to worry about the bus," said her mom.

"Thanks," Trinity replied. Trinity wasn't as annoyed as she had been at first. She realized no matter what she did, nothing could change the past, so she gave up trying. When she finished eating, she went upstairs and changed into her Denver, Colorado shirt and a random pair of jeans. She then brushed her tangled, wavy hair, until it rolled down to her elbows. She started down the stairs as her mom handed her her backpack. "Thanks," replied Trinity. They walked out the door and got in the car. Her mom stopped at the end of the driveway.

Her mom asked, "Want to see if Kyrin wants a ride?"

"Sure," replied Trinity as she got out of the car. She went up to Kyrin's house and knocked on the door. She could hear through the door, Kyrin yelling, "I'm sorry, ok? I woke up late. I'm probably gonna miss the bus now, I get it!" Kyrin opened the door looking stressed, but when she saw Trinity's face, she brightened up a little.

"Hey, my mom's driving me, so I don't have to worry about the bus and I was wondering if you wanted a ride," said Trinity.

"Yes! Thank you so much! My phone died before I woke up, so my alarm didn't wake me, and the bus comes really early. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would have probably been late. I'll go grab my backpack," replied Kyrin. Kyrin let the door open and ran into her living room. Her dirty blond hair bounced up and down, She came out in seconds running towards the door. "Bye mom! Trinity's giving me a ride," she yelled as she shut the door. Trinity and Kyrin walked over to the car, which Trinity's mom had pulled into Kyrin's driveway. They hopped in the car and left.

. . . . .

"Thanks again for the ride, Mrs. Brooks," said Kyrin for the seventh time.

"No problem, Kyrin. You know, I'm thinking about driving Trinity every morning, so she can sleep in since the bus comes early. You're welcome to ride with us if you want," replied Trinity's mom.

"Really?!" Trinity and Kyrin yelled at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed. They pulled up to a large building and Mrs. Brooks stopped the car.

"Ok, we're here," said Mrs. Brooks.

"Thanks," replied Trinity and Kyrin. They climbed out of the car and Trinity looked up in amazement. The building stretched across a large amount of land and seemed to reach out to the stars. The school had symmetrical red banners on the sides of the door with the school's name. Kyrin shuffled Trinity through the front entrance.

"Hey, would you mind going to the counselor and getting my schedule with me and showing me around?" Trinity asked politely.

"No, I don't mind. I'd love to show you around," replied Kyrin. They began walking to the office. Trinity got her schedule and the counselor gave Kyrin a pass in case she was late for anything while showing Trinity around. They were about ten minutes early, so Kyrin walked Trinity to her locker, so she could practice her combination.

"I guess it's good your last name is Brooks and we're on the same team, cause our lockers are right next to each other," said Kyrin.

"Oh, so we'll be locker neighbors," responded Trinity. They walked down the hallway until Kyrin stopped and said, "This is my locker, so that," she said as she pointed at the locker next to her, "is your locker." While looking at her schedule, Trinity open her locker with her combo.
