Chapter 18: Big Plastic Balloons

Luna*

We got out of the plane, into a starry Berlin night.

"Who knew it would be this cold?" I shiver, rubbing my hands on my arms as an attempt warm them up.

"They did." Noah opened one of the bags that they had given us.

He tossed us each a blanket as we wrapped them around ourselves and our warm breath turning into small white puffs in the cold air.

"Where do we go now?" Raven picked up one of the three bags that we split up.

"They said that they booked a car to come and-"

I was cut of by bright white head lights moving towards us.

A black jeep soon came into view and stopped right next to us and the driver's window rolled down.

"Prescotts and Cooper?" The older  man in a black suit had a prominent accent as he spoke.

We nodded so he got out of the car and opened the boot for us to put our bags in.

After exchanging greeting and a quiet 20 minute car ride, we stopped outside a tall glass skyscraper.

"Thank you," I smiled when the driver opened the door for us and held out a hand to help me down.

I took it and stepped onto the concrete pavement. The lights from buildings and cars that passed bounced off the tower in front of us with some German words on it, 'Reich' it said.

We collected our bags and walked to the entrance.

"Is this where we are staying?" I whispered to Raven after the friendly doormen opened the doors for us.

"I guess.." was all she said, I'm assuming it was because of the beauty of just the lobby.

The polished floors shine with the light of the crystal chandeliers and reflected into the leather black sofas and glass tables strategically placed. A red carpet lead directly to a reception then separated either side of it, one to stairs and the other to an elevator.

We walked up to the reception, still wearing our blankets and absorbing the sleekness of the building, and got our reserved suite.

"Wanna race?" I raised an eyebrow after the keycard got handed to me.

They both nodded their heads and got themselves ready.

"Go!" I announced.

They ran for the stairs as I pretended to run for the elevators.

Ha, the suckers didn't even realise I had the key.

I lazily made my way to the elevator and pressed the button.

I stepped into the metal box, as soon as I got to the second floor, two girls came in fawning over a phone.

"He is adorable!" One of them said, even though they were speaking English you could hear their German accent.

"Hot you mean." The other girl said.

"I swear he got his looks from his dad."

"No way, the President isn't hot at all!"

Adorable, Hot, President?

I took a sly peek on her phone to see Ace's Instagram page.

They talk about him all the way over here as well. Great.
