Saturday morning was here and I woke up at 6:13am. I hate waking up early on weekends. I got up and went to the bathroom. After I got out, I heard the morning radio on in my grandma's room. "The supreme court is taking up same sex marriage. This is a serious issue." Coming from the christian station, I'm not surprised. Speaking of that, I remember the time I told Denis I was gay.
"I just feel I need to tell you this." "What?" "...I'm gay. I like men." He waited to write me back. "No you're not. You're just confused. It's the devil that's doing that." "No, Denis, you don't understand. I just don't like girls." "I'm going to pray for you." "For what? Why are you going overboard about this?" "Because, you just think you're gay." "So what? Is that gonna affect our friendship?" "I'm just saying that I'm not gay." Ever since then, everything's been based off of that. "Hey, Denis, let's hang out." "And do what?" "Hang out, go to the movies, go out to eat, go walking." "Nah, it sounds like a date to me." "Denis, come on! I just want to spend time with you!" "I....got to go. Bye." At that point, I wanted to just give up. Why won't he accept me or hang out with me? Only one could imagine.
Last year, I also met an exfriend of mines, Johnny. He was like Denis, in the christian sense that is. I think Denis started to become jealous when I told him about Johnny. "What's up??" He asked me on Facebook. "Nothing, just talking my best friend Johnny." "Johnny?" "Yeah, he's a great person." "Cool...." The amount of satisfaction I felt was great. Although, one thing I never inderstood was if both of them wasn't okay with gay people, why was they concerned with who I was dating? I wasn't actually dating no one but whenever I made up someone to Denis, he'd say, "What's his name? Does he go here? Does he have a facebook? Is it Johnny?" I'd just sit back and smile because little did he know, I was gaining information about him that he didn't know I was gaining.
