FOUR YEARS AGO
(Y/N) was against the glass ready to watch Boston College take on Boston University. Her roommate, Jaylen, had forced her to come to the game tonight. She figured she'd make the most out of it. The two were students at the prestigious university, and (Y/N) was extremely serious about her schooling. Everything came naturally to Jaylen, so she wasn't so worried about school and more worried about meeting a hockey player to shack with.

Her view of the ice in front of her was blocked by a figure standing in front of her. Hanifin, the back of his jersey read. Blonde locks came from the end of his helmet, and (Y/N) was broken out of her trance when blondie turned around. They made longing eye contact and he smiled at her. Wow, he's beautiful, she thought to herself. He was thinking the same thing about her.

"Noah." He mouthed to the girl. "(Y/N.)" She replied and he smiled. Noah played a great game. 2 assists and a goal in a BC win. (Y/N) felt a spark in her moment with Noah, but she knew he most likely didn't feel the same and that she'd never see him again.

She was walking to her car when a deep voice she didn't recognize called out her name. She turned around reluctantly and saw a frazzled Noah running towards her, still wearing his jersey and shoulder pads with a pair of running shorts and tennis shoes on.

"I couldn't let you leave without giving you my number. I'd really love to get to know you." He told her and she smiled. "I'd really like that."

TWO WEEKS LATER
Noah and (Y/N) had been talking for two weeks now and they finally arranged a time to go on a date. They both really liked each other, but had never really sat down and talked to each other in person.

Noah was taking (Y/N) to his favorite restaurant in Boston. Then he was gonna take her on a walk around the city and they were gonna get ice cream. In their short time of knowing each other, Noah had discovered that the young girl was extremely addicted to the sweet treat.

The dinner went really well. They both were crazy about each other and they had a great time. Noah walked (Y/N) to her building sometime right before midnight. "Would it be crazy if I kissed you right now." He mumbled and she shook her head. "I was hoping you would." Noah leaned in and kissed (Y/N), melting into the kiss. It was everything they had both wanted.

Noah pulled away and leaned his forehead against (Y/N)'s, smiling. "I'd love to see you again, beautiful." He said and she blushed. "Likewise."

PRESENT DAY
Noah and (Y/N)'s relationship only grew from there. Even when (Y/N) was in Boston for school, they still made it work. They both loved each other far too much for it not to work.

(Y/N) moved to Raleigh and moved in with Noah after she graduated. She graduated a semester early, in January 2018. The Hurricanes had been eliminated from the playoffs and Noah and (Y/N) were on a trip to California. She had been alive for 22 years and had never been to the Golden State, so he took her for their 4th anniversary.

The couple was walking around hand in hand exploring San Francisco. (Y/N) gasped when she laid eyes on the Golden Gate Bridge. It was something she had wanted to visit since she was a small child. Noah squeezed her hand lovingly and (Y/N) started walking towards the bridge when Noah stopped her.

"What's up?" She asked and he smiled at her nervously. "Noah, what's wrong? Are you okay?" (Y/N) asked worried. "(Y/N), when I saw you at that game 4 years ago, I knew I had to get to know. You're the sweetest, funniest, most beautiful girl I've ever met in my life. You're always there for me throughout all of my shit and the road trips. I know that being a hockey girlfriend is extremely difficult but through all the obstacles you still love me and I can't thank you enough for always being there for me. I love you so much and I can't wait any longer to make you mine forever. Please, please, do me the honor of becoming my wife." Noah rambled and tears streamed down both of their faces as Noah got down on one knee and opened the small velvet black box revealing a beautiful engagement ring.

"Yes, a million times yes!" She exclaimed and Noah slid the ring on her finger. (Y/N) jumped into Noah's arms and wrapped her legs around his waist, tears falling onto each other's shoulders.

"I love you, baby." Noah said to (Y/N) and she smiled. "Love you more, superstar."
