Chapter 9

An: ok, I just want to apologize...I'm so, so, SO SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED ;-; i ended up losing interest on writing the story...plus I'm been working on a few others for practice. I look back at the first few chapters and I ask myself "God damn...was I really this bad at writing?" Even now I doubt myself as a writer. For those of y'all who took the time to read this, thank you. I hope you'll forgive me for getting unmotivated....the comments and stuff really helped me too! For those of y'all who don't think I look at the comments, I do. Ever single one of them. Plus it's reassuring to know that people have hope for my series!! Anyways, let's get this lecture over with and FINALLY GET THIS STORY GOING!!! IT WILL BE ALIVE!!!

After waiting at the gate for a bit, the team finally arrived along with Tazuna. As we slowly start exiting the gate, Naruto gets in front of us. "YEAHH! ALRIGHT!!!" Naruto Exclaimed while swinging his arms in the air.

"What are you getting so excited about Naruto?" Sakura asks, ashamed of narutos behavior. "This is the first time I ever left the village! I'm a traveler now, believe it!" Naruto exclaims.

"What's so exciting about leaving the village? It's like going to the Chokorēto clan and back..." i think slightly annoyed. "Like he said, this is his first time leaving the village. He's bound to be excited," Explained Okami.

"I still remember when I left the Chokorēto clan to hunt for food and I wasn't very excited about it...." I think sadly. "That was because you HAD to survive. The people there didn't treat you nicely at the time..." I look down sadly remembering all the rocks, sticks, and kunai knives thrown at me for having the ten tailed beast.

Thankfully, Tazuna's voice interrupts my thoughts. "Hey...am I suppose to trust my life to this runt? He's a joke!" Tazuna asks Kakashi. "He's with me and I'm a Jonin, so you don't need to worry..." assured Kakashi.

My ears were down in annoyance as I start walking towards Sakura with my tail swinging slightly behind me. "Those two are unbelievable..." Sakura sighs. I silently agree with Sakura on that. If anything, TAZUNA is unbelievable! HE CALLED ME A DOG!

"Um Y/n...is everything ok? Your tail keeps on hitting me..." I blush out of embarrassment and I quickly stop my tail from wagging in anger. "Yeah...I'm still angry at Tazuna though..." I state the last part quietly but loud enough for her to hear me.

"Have to admit...it was pretty funny..." Sakura says in between giggles. My left eye starts to twitch and my left ear is perked up. "FUNNY?! THAT WAS FUNNY?!" I think enraged, but I manage to keep my face calm and collected.

"You can become hokage 10 times over and to me you'll still be nobody," i lift my head up to see Tazuna walking away from the violent Naruto trying to strangle him. "I told you, you're suppose to protect the client, not attack him!" Kakashi reasons while using Naruto's backpack as a leash to hold him back.

"Sorry, but I have to agree with Naruto here. You're asking us to protect this alcoholic dude who looks no older than 85," I countered while placing my hands on my hips. "Right now isn't the time to be bickering and complaining like a bunch of chihuahuas," Sasuke muttered while following the cranky old man.

Me and Naruto just stare at Sasuke and the cranky old dude as they walk away. "So....do you know when duck season is?" I huffed while slouching my shoulders and letting my ears hang down. "...nope..."

After awhile of walking side by side with Naruto, Sakura starts to strike up a conversation with Mr. Grandpa-on-steroids.

"Say, Mr. Tazuna..."

"What is it?"

"Your country is the land of waves, right?" She questions. "Yeah? What of it?" He grumbles. "While were out here in the forest, let's find this guy a happy attitude or a cure for old age," I whisper to Naruto but loud enough for everyone to hear. Tazuna sends me a glare before focusing his attention on Sakura. "Kakashi Sensei, there are ninjas in that country too, right?" She questions.

"No. Their are no ninjas in the land of waves. But in other countries, there are hidden villages, each with their own different customs and cultures, where ninja resign..." I immediately zone out of the conversation as I take a look at my surroundings. The air was nice and fresh, the grass was greener than ever, the sound of people stalking us, the blue sky!

"Wait what...?"

I start to look around, trying to spot the people I thought I heard. "It might just be your imagination kiddo," Okami reassures me. "I hope you're right..."

Despite being reassured, I still kept looking around, probably looking like a chicken twisting their head back and forth.

"Are you ok Y/n? If you keep looking around like that, then you're probably gonna snap your neck..." Naruto chuckled. I gave him a slight glare before thinking of an answer. "I'm just looking out for danger!" I exclaim quickly. "Oh! Good idea!" That's when me and Naruto both started scouting the area for burglars and people like that.

"Then lord hokage is really important!" Sakura Exclaims at last. I look to my side, confused, and see Naruto giving Kakashi a questioning look. "Wait...what were y'all just talking about again?" I ask dumbfounded. "Hey! You all just doubted lord hokage didn't you? That's what you were thinking," Kakashi Accused while glaring at both Sakura and Naruto.

"Well...I mean...it's kinda hard not to doubt someone who looks like they need a new walking stick," I retort while smirking at Kakashi who only sends me a death glare. Kakashi sighs and takes a step toward Sakura and rests his hand on her head.

"Well anyway, there are no ninja battles in a C-Rank mission, so you can relax," Kakashi informed. "And we're not gonna run into any foreign enemy ninja or anything like that?" Sakura beamed. Me and Naruto give both Sakura and Kakashi a questioning glance. "Not likely."

Before I continued walking, I saw Sasuke give Tazuna an accusing glance. "I wonder what that's all about..."

Once again, me and squad 7 began walking over a bridge, trying to get to our destination. As we were walking, we passed a puddle that seemed EXTREMELY out of place.

"The weather is probably drunk....again," I think annoyingly. Without a second glance, I keep on walking. All of a sudden, I start to hear something...like running. I looked behind me to see what the racket was, to only see 2 mysterious ninja chaining up Kakashi.

And before I could say or do anything about it.....

He was ripped into pieces....

An: sorry, this part is pretty short compared to all the other chapters 😅 I'm slowly getting my motivation to write again so get ready for more chapters!!!
