Chapter 8

Y/n POV

"Arigatō Chiyo ~ Chan!" Me and Kiba exclaim as we chow down on our onigiri, sushi, fried fish, and Dango. Chiyo stares at us with a warm smile plastered on her face as she watches us chow down on her home made food. "Wow! Chiyo chan your cooking is amazing! Do you think I could take this to go later?" Kiba asks while stuffing another fried fish in his mouth.

My ears perk up at his question and my tail swings side to side on the floor waiting for Chiyo ~ Chan's answer. "I don't see why not. Oh by the way
Y/n...don't you have a mission or something today?" Chiyo asks with a raised brow. I sigh heavily knowing it's gonna be some childish mission.

"That's true...but-" before I could finish my sentence Chiyo interrupts me. "You should go on every mission your assigned to doing! A lazy ninja can't do work and if you can't do work your useless!" Chiyo explains while smacking me on the head playfully.

I look at Kiba making sure it was ok to leave him with the crazy old hag. "I'll stay here with Chiyo! Maybe I can learn a new move or something while I'm here!" He exclaims while giving Chiyo a goofy smile.

"Actually I have to teach both of y'all a new jutsu when y'all come back from the mission. See you later Y/n!" Chiyo waves me off goodbye as I exit the inn.

As I started walking through the forest trying to find my destination and I spotted a cat with brown fur and red bow on one ear. "What's a cat doing out here?" I think confused. I start getting near and it got startled by my appearance.

"I-it's ok lil fella! I'm not gonna hurt you!" I say while getting on my knees. It quickly started coming towards me and started to purr. That's when I noticed the cat was falling asleep on my tail.

"Does it think I'm a cat or something?" I think while my ears were down in confusion. I slowly grabbed in and placed it in my lap so it would be comfortable.

After a moment or so, I sensed 3 familiar chakras. "What are they doing here...?" I ask myself as I slowly pull out a kuni. At that moment Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto jumped out of the bushes. Before I had time to react Naruto tackled me into the ground.

"NARUTO GET OFF ME! YOUR HURTING THE CAT!!!!" I yell. Naruto was on top of me staring into my eyes. "Um...earth to Naruto?" I flick his forehead so he could snap him out of his trance. His face turns a bright red and he stumbles off me.

"S-s-sorry a-a-about That...." he apologizes while rubbing the back of his head. "It's ok." I respond with a closed eye smile. I look down to see the cat petrified at what just happened. "You better apologize to the cat too Naruto..." I glare at him as he takes the cat away from my lap.

All of a sudden the cat starts scratching and hissing at Naruto. "That's what you get!!!" I exclaim while quietly laughing. I look around to see Sakura standing over Naruto and Sasuke talking through a ear piece.

"By the way...we also found Y/n with the cat," Sasuke explained through the Ear piece device while sparing a glance at me.

"CANT WE GET A BETTER MISSION THAN THIS?! I HATE CATS" Naruto Yelled through the ear piece.

I stand up and walk over to Sasuke. "Ohhh so getting that cat was a mission?" I ask him while taping him on the shoulder. He looked shocked at first but nods at my question. "Oooooh!!! Ok! Thank the lord I wasn't part of the mission!" I say innocently while walking away.

"Awww! My poor little Tora, Momma was so worried about you~" cooed the lady as she brought the cat into a bone crushing hug.
