Luke's POV

Annabeth and I managed to reach the Celestial Bronze gate, and it was so hard to get here too. We had to stay quiet in the woods that has no path, with a bunch of skeleton warriors repeatedly pacing back and forth patrolling. It took the whole night but at long last we made it. Just as Jason and Percy said, at the right side of the gate was a watch tower, and there we could see above was Leo punching buttons like a maniac and fixing things or probably making them, it's hard to see when you're 15 feet below.

We saw Jason and Percy with Piper walking up the watch tower, Jason looked over to our direction and made a circular motion with his fingers.

"What does that mean?" I whispered to Annabeth.

"It means we have to go around the watch tower the other way when they're almost up there. Come on." She said then crawled carefully to the watchtower.

I followed near her as we approached the tower. Annabeth and I stayed quiet for a few minutes before we heard punching, kicking and grunts from above.

"That's our cue." Annabeth said then we climbed the watchtower.

It wasn't really hard, Leo could have done much better but I guess the potion was holding back his potential, thank the Gods for that at least.
When we reached the top, Jason was tying up Piper while Percy tied Leo. Annabeth smiled and hugged Percy.

"I didn't doubt you for a second there." Annabeth said.

I went to Leo's controls and tried to make sense of it. They all seemed complicated with all the blinking lights of the buttons here. Jason stood by me and punched a few buttons then the gate slowly opened.

"Sweet, thanks for your help guys." I stood on the railings and grabbed a vine.
Before I swung out, Percy grabbed my arm.

"Luke, I'm sorry... For everything. I was wrong about you and I trust you with my life to take care of Y/n."

I grinned, "Thanks Percy. That means a lot that you approve myself for her."

"Now go and keep her safe."

I nodded and swung through the gate.
I sure hope I get to y/n First before anything real bad happens.

Y/n's POV

Ridiculous. I started putting coal inside the boiler making the train go faster, I needed to gain much distance as possible, judging by Nico's advantage of the whole town under his control, Jake wouldn't survive.

I shook the thoughts away, Jake will survive this, he's been on more difficult circumstances... right?

No! He's never been on the field why would you leave him?! Nico is after you and is bound to kill anything on his path.

"I have to go back." I said aloud.

"No, you don't actually."

I jumped back and readied my shovel to a voice on the window. There seated was like a hobo  he was in a ragged trench coat, and a black dirty beret. But apart from his outfit, he looked awfully familiar, he had long dreadlocks for a guy but had a Mexican mustache on.

"Recognize me, child?" He asked and stepped down.

"Ares." I said, "What are you doing here, and what's up with the fake mustache?"

"Well I- wait, how did you know it's fake?"

I scoffed and crossed my arms, "It's the only thing neat on you."

He took it off, "Jake's going to be fine. You'd be surprised sooner or later." He gave me hug I gladly hugged back, "How's my favorite not daughter demigod doing?"
