We found them sitting in font of the dining table with a genuine smile on their faces as if they're only waiting for us.

DJ  didn't say anything. He just helped me sit on one chair and he sat quietly beside me too.

"G-Good Evening po," I greeted them with a small smile. They smiled widely at me and nodded.

"Good Evening, hija. I'm David Montereal, and this is my wife Janice Montereal, what's your name?" nakangiting tanong ng Papa ni DJ.

"Kathryn po, sir." I replied politely, he shook his head and laughed.

"Just call me Tito, same goes with my wife, just call her Tita."

"So, let's eat?" nakangiting tanong ng Mama ni DJ.

DJ just shrugged his shoulders boredly and didn't say anything.

There are lots of foods that are served actually.

"You're so pretty, hija."

They look so happy. It's as if they are waiting for this time to happen and to come for a long time now.

I was just on my second year college," magalang na sagot ko. Marahan siyang tumango at ngumiti.

She's right. I'm seventeen and DJ is nineteen. I nodded slowly and smiled, she smiled in return.

"May I please know who your parents are?" nakangiting tanong ni Tito David.

"I don't think I know them. What are they up to?" tanong ulit nito.

And damn, I wasn't even informed that it will be like a job interview.

"I see. George Martins, the owner of the said company is a good friend." Namangha ako sa narinig bago marahang tumango.

"How about you, son. How are you?" nakangiting tanong ni Tita Janice sa anak. DJ didn't answer, he just shrugged his shoulders.

"Anak, napag-isipan mo na ba, I mean, I'm getting old and it's only you who I can trust to handle our business." Si Tito David ang nagsalita.

"Ayoko."

I can sense the gap DJ has between him and his parents. He'a acting cold as if he didn't care or as if his parents are not existing at all, and I don't like it. I don't want my DJ to carry this entire burden forever.

"I'll just use the comfort room..." DJ whispered on my ear, I threw him a glance and nodded with a smile. I watched him go and as soon as he was gone out of my sight, I looked back at his parents.
