Billie Jean played through the speakers Chanyeol's bedroom. He was busy getting ready in front of the mirror, preparing for what he assumed would be a night of horrors.
His costume was last minute and from scratch. Basically, his father made half of it.

It was a tweed jacket with a red sheer blouse beneath it. He tucked his shirt into a pair of tight white slacks that rose above his ankle bone, exposing his socks. He finished it off with his dad's old vintage shades that were tinted yellow to match the combination of primary colors in his tweed jacket.

The finishing touch was his red hair. Sehun had passed him semi-permanent dye from his mum's shop after school and he prayed that semi-permanent meant it would fade.

He hoped he looked as dorky as he felt.

One last look and he grabbed the door handle, heading downstairs where his chariot awaited. His dad had left early that morning, promising to bring him back a souvenir. So he stuffed a spare key under the doormat just in case. Sehun was parked out front, waiting.

"What are you supposed to be?" Chanyeol asked, sliding into the new Subaru.

"You're one to talk. Who are you, Bozo?" Sehun pulled up his black hood, connected to an entirely black cloak and gown.

"Hey, disco, man." He fiddled with his hair in the mirror reflection. "Do I look okay?"

"Why? Trying to impress a house plant? None of our friends are going to be there, and all the girls will have a date."

"You're kinda my date then." Chanyeol teased, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Pfft. I'm driving, so if anything; you're my date."

Chanyeol let the conversation die so he could direct Sehun to Baekhyun's house using the map in the glove box. He'd gotten the address stuffed into his locker, written and torn off of a piece of paper.

The house was dark save for the bright neon lights that illuminated the kitchen and living room. All of his friends had come up and complimented his costume; a pirate. Everyone anticipated his costumes every year. He was pretty much known for going over the top; from the appetizers to the disco ball replacing his living room light.

"Wow, I'm digging this hair." A girl he hardly remembered laughed, running her witch-like nails through his messy mullet. He'd dyed red stripes in it, much to his parents dismay.

"Yaaaaah!" Kai barged into the room followed by the rest of the baseball team dressed as zombies. Eyes turned towards the sexy males who entered, already beginning to dance to the music playing.

Kai eventually found his way over to Baek after picking up a drink from his best friend Wendy. He took a long sip, throwing his arm over Baek's shoulders.

"Hey, nice costume." Baekhyun said, eyeing his ripped up shirt.

"Thanks, it's very comfortable." He took another sip before looking around the room. "Hey, where's your date?" He teased, ruffling the back of his head.

Baekhyun swatted his hand away, folding his arms.

"Dunno. I've been busy hosting."

"Ah, I see. So busy." Kai laughed, finishing his drink and wandering over to Junmyeon in the kitchen. "I'll catch up with ya later." He called, moving away.

"See ya." He folded his arms, looking around himself but finding it difficult in the tall crowd. He heard some noise coming from the entranceway, so he started pushing his way to the front door, ready to settle any disputes.
