He pushed play on his dad's old stereo hooked up in his room, shaking out his wet hair while the beat played. Subconsciously, he drummed his fingers, imagining the chords he'd use for this song. He'd been saving money from doing lawn maintenance, and he was waiting to buy this electric blue guitar in his favorite little music shop that he went to weekly. It was electric and retro. He loved it. Maybe so much that he would actually play publicly... maybe.

He fingered through his damp hair, jumping when the droplets fell onto his bare tan skin. He threw on a plain white tee and buttoned a striped dress shirt over it. The stripes went down his chest and lengthened his already long torso, matching the blue in his soft slacks. He made a note for himself to stop by the music store on the way home and grab an Elton John tape for Baekhyun. The jock hadn't mentioned any interest in the artist, but maybe his parents didn't approve of the singer. Although, Chanyeol had seen Prince's dancing, and Baekhyun mentioned liking him, (he knew for a fact that one of those tumbled out magazines featured the handsome musician). Chanyeol was lucky in the sense that his father was pretty laid back about most things that bothered other people. Then again, maybe it was because his father never really cared about much after all they'd gone through. Anyway, Elton John for Baekhyun. Because 'your song', was always his mother's favorite, and growing up, Chanyeol used to listen to his parents sing the lyrics and think; this is what love should be like. He wondered if he'd ever love anyone as much as Elton John loved whoever he wrote that song for.

His doorbell rang, alarming him. He grabbed his backpack and slung it over his shoulder before hopping down the staircase. The old wood floors creaked and complained as his weight danced across the floors to the door. He saw a bundle of color jumbled by the glass on the door. The door swung open to reveal Baekhyun; a large goof-ish grin on his boyish face. His wide shoulders were covered by a letterman jacket that he had gotten for his senior year, reminding Chanyeol that he was younger.

"Good morning, what a surprise-" he giggled, taking the wild flowers from the boy's hands, brushing fingers. Baekhyun looked like the perfect boyfriend with his high waisted jeans and sneakers, sporting a tight black shirt. "Thank you."

"I saw them on my way over and couldn't resist." He placed a hand on Chanyeol's shoulder and placed a soft kiss to his cheek. "Ready?"

"For what?" Chanyeol stuttered, still in shock from the surprise kiss. Having someone like him-kiss him-would never get old.

"School, silly." He laughed and leaned on the door frame. "Take your time. I'll go wait in the car, baby." He winked and backed up to the steps that led to his car.

"But won't everyone see us show up together?" He said, hating himself for ruining the most perfect moment of his life.

"Well, yeah." He scratched his neck, looking up at the other with a grin, "I can accept the consequences."

"Okay." He blushed, walking back inside quickly before he said anything else. He put the flowers in a mason jar and ran back outside.

Baekhyun was waiting in his open vehicle like he'd said; bobbing his head along to the music playing.

The door was unlocked so he let himself in, sliding onto the long seat and tossing his bag in the back where random sports equipment laid.

"Hey, ready?" He turned down the song playing, which was a relatively new track by INXS.

"Yeah, let's go." He placed his hands on the top of his thighs anxiously. Memories of his last time in this car along with Baekhyun washed over his mind and it couldn't have been a worse time.
