Clarke gave her speech to Polis in the morning. She told them about Azgeda and the arrival of Bellamy and Murphy. They cheered in agreement of Clarke. Polis loved their Commander. Still, Clarke didn't say a word about Madi.
In her room, Clarke was watching people in Polis trade and dance. It was a celebration of the success of the vaccines. Octavia entered. She had none of her makeup on, she looked nicer. "It must be nice having everything." Octavia glanced at the window.
Clarke turned around. "I wish I did." She looked back at the window with a sigh. Octavia walked closer to Clarke.
"What do you mean? Your life is perfect." Octavia threw her hands up.
"Listen, I know you think your life isn't that great right now, but it doesn't mean that mine is any better." Clarke said walking closer. Octavia rolled her eyes . "Having people wanting to capture you and everyone you love is not fun." Clarke walked past Octavia furiously.
Clarke was about to walk out the door when Octavia replied. "Well atleast you have Madi." Clarke stopped under the door frame and turned around to Octavia standing in tears. "And Bellamy. And a home. I've lost everything." Octavia looked down.
"Octavia, you have people who care about you here." Clarke went in-front of her. "Bellamy loves you!"
Octavia shook her head. "Not as much as he loves you. Your taking the life I wanted, and I'm determined your not going to steal anymore." Octavia walked out.
Clarke entered the lab, she saw Murphy and Raven laughing with Madi. It was good seeing everyone happy. Clarke was about to say hello before the monitors starting buzzing. Raven got up and went over to the computers.
Ravens face went bare. "Raven?" Clarke walked up looking at the monitors. Murphy and Madi stood behind them.
"There's..there's..." Raven kept typing and scrolling on the computer. Clarke nudged Raven. Raven stopped typing and ran up to a floor with a window. Everyone followed her. They looked out the window to see something in the sky. Clarke turned to Raven confused. "There's more people." Raven turned to Clarke worried.
Clarke ordered guards to come outside. In the hallway Bellamy went up to Clarke. "I'll be back soon, watch Madi." Clarke held Bellamys hands. Bellamy nodded and kissed her forehead. Octavia watched in the distance.
Raven and Murphy were ready with the guards. Everyone had guns. Clarke and the group were about to leave before Octavia showed up with only a sword. A ship had landed few miles away from the valley, the opposite side of Azgeda. They started to approach the end of the woods.
Clarke walked closer to Octavia. "Hey." She began. Octavia kept walking. "Octavia I just wanted to say I'm sorry about everything. I want you to have a great life and family, but"
"Clarke shut up." Octavia stopped walking. She looked around.
"Octavia you should hear what I." Clarke tried talking again before Octavia's eyes widened.
There was noise of guns shooting at them. "Cover the Commander!" The guards yelled out running to Clarke. Guards shot their guns rapidly until it was quiet again. The guards walked slowly away from Clarke. She saw Octavia looking around.
Clarke was looking around until she heard Raven screaming. Clarke immediately turned around and ran to Ravens voice. Clarke saw Murphy lying on the ground covered in his blood. Raven kneeled at his side crying and holding his hand.
"Raven!" Clarke yelled running then crouching to Raven. Murphy's eyes were opened, not blinking. Raven kept sobbing. Clarke looked at Raven, then she saw Octavia standing observing them. Octavias eyes were glued on Raven. She approached slowly.
Octavia knelt on the other side of Murphy from where Raven and Clarke were. Octavia closed Murphy's eyes with her fingertips. Raven fell onto his chest in tears. "Guards." Clarke choked back on tears. "Search the area." The guards left.
Clarke and Octavia stayed near Raven and Murphy's body. There was rustling in the bushes. Octavia pulled out her sword. A blonde girl came out. She was a teenager and had a cut on her forehead. Raven pointed her gun at the girl. Clarkes eyes widened. Octavia stayed quiet. Raven was about to pull the trigger. "Raven stop!" Clarke yelled.
"She killed him." Raven said without blinking. Octavia walked closer.
"She's just a kid!" Clarke shouted. The girl was scared and walked closer slowly.
Raven still held the gun up. "So were we." Her tears went down her neck. The girl was about to grab Ravens gun before Octavia knew what was happening. Octavia went infront of the girl and held her hands. Raven was shocked.
"It's time to go." Octavia said while tying the girls hands together. "Get the guards." Clarke radioed the guards. Their way back to Polis was silent. The guards put the girl into a cell. Clarke went to her room to Madi hitting Bellamys hand. He was giving her pointers on how to fight. Clarke smiled.
"Look who's back." Bellamy looked up. He walked into a hug from Clarke.
"What'd you do while I was gone?" Clarke asked walking to Madi.
"Well I tried convincing Bellamy to let me go outside, but that didn't work." Madi rolled her eyes. Clarke laughed. "He told me about how when he came to the ground and went back to space. It was like your story Heda. Than he taught me how to fight because I was thinking, once I can defend myself you will let me go outside." Madi smirked.
"My thirteen year old learning how to fight from her father." Clarke said out loud. "That sounds like my story too doesn't it?" She smiled.
"Well if my story turns out like yours, I'll survive on the ground." Madi started. "I will end up ruling Polis."
Clarkes smile faded, she didn't know what to say. Bellamy cut in. "Don't follow someone else's story, write your own." Bellamy smiled. Madi nodded. Octavia entered with a bowl of fruit.
"Gosh I miss having food like this." She popped a grape in her mouth. Madi laughed. Octavia sat on the bed. "Did you tell them about Murphy?" Octavia asked. Bellamy looked at Clarke confused. Octavia noticed, "The girl?" Bellamy was even more confused.
Clarke turned angry. "I did not want to talk about it infront of Madi."
"You can't protect her from everything." Octavia said carelessly. Bellamy stepped infront of Clarke. He gave her a look that she couldn't lie about.
"Something happened to Murphy in the woods." Clarke sighed.
"Is he okay?" Bellamy asked, Madi walked closer. Clarke shook her head. Bellamy opened his mouth, but no words came out. He sat down on her desk chair and put his head in his hands. Madi kept watching.
"I'm sorry Bellamy." Clarke put her hand on his shoulder. "Raven was- " Clarkes eyes widened and turned to Octavia. "Raven. Where is she?"
"She was with the guards the last time I saw-" Octavia immediately read Clarkes mind. "Come on!" Octavia ran out the door. Clarke followed. Madi sneaked behind Bellamy. Clarke hustled to the prisoner cells. Clarke was about to enter the girls cell before Octavia grabbed her hand.
"Octavia let go! I need to go in there." Clarke tried wiggling her arm away. Octavia pulled Clarke back infront of her.
"Let me do it." Octavia walked closer to the door. "Trust me." Without another word, Clarke was in the hallway alone. Octavia entered the room. There was a candle in the corner for light, no windows. The girl sat down infront of Raven who was holding a gun to her. The girl was shivering. Ravens face was bare. "Raven!" Octavia yelled. Raven didn't turn around. Octavia walked closer. "Raven, listen to me I know what it's like to lose people, okay."
Raven shook her head and started crying. "No she killed him. She..." Ravens eyes were glued on the teen.
"Raven, we were sent down here to survive, I killed someone when I was sixteen. I've killed many people." Raven didn't budge. "But I would never kill a child." Raven frowned. "I lost my child , and I don't think you want any family to feel that way about this young girl." Octavia had tears in her eyes. "Raven please."
Raven started to sob and put the gun down. Octavia grabbed it. Before she knew it, Raven was in her arms crying. The girl stayed quiet.
Clarke was knocking on the door, but it was locked. "Come on!" Clarke screamed. "Let me in!" Clarke sobbed against the door. Bellamy ran down the hall.
"Clarke." Bellamy rushed to her and held her face. "Hey.. hey." He hushed her and then hugged her. Madi peaked around the corner.
"I can't save anyone." Clarke sobbed into Bellamys shoulder. "I couldn't save Finn, Lexa, my mom, Murphy..." She sniffled. "I kill everyone!"
"Clarke listen to me, you did not kill those people, you made their life worth living. Without you, they wouldn't have made it as far." Bellamy held Clarkes hands. Clarke gave a slight smile. The door opened. Octavia and Raven came out. Clarke ran into the room.
Bellamy pulled Octavia to the side. "Hey." Octavia looked up at him. "Is she okay." He asked.
Octavia nodded. "Ravens fine yeah." She shrugged and turned around.
Bellamy grabbed Octavia's wrist again. "I meant the girl." Octavia was in loss of words for a moment, than she nodded. They weren't the same as when they first came down to earth.
