Varian yawned and stretched, groaning and looking over to where (y/n) slept. She snored softly and twitched. Varian smiled and blushed, carefully moving her bangs out of her face. He sighed and moved out of the bed, careful not to wake her. He padded down to the kitchen where a note, as usual, awaited him.

He picked it up and examined it. It read, "Varian: I won't be back for a week. I left enough food for you and your friend. Stay safe and don't leave old corona. -Quirin." Varian groaned and placed the letter down. He pulled out a pan and began to fry some eggs when (y/n) stumbled down the stairs, moaning tiredly as she sat at the dining table and laid her head down. Varian laughed and raised an eyebrow, "you okay over there?" (Y/n) dragged her head up to face him before sticking her tongue out and stuttering, "w-v very we-well!" She stuttered over her own words before yawning heavily again. He brought a plate of eggs to her and brought himself some. He sat down and began to eat before looking up to see (y/n) still faced down, "cmon and eat." (Y/n) looked up and glared, "I'm cold!" Varian rolled his eyes and went back to eating. (Y/n) pouted and tilted her head back in her chair. Varian groaned and rested his chin on his palm, "My dad won't be back for a week. We have to stay in old coron-" (y/n) groaned even louder and then quickly let her head fall down, "what are we gonna do?" Varian thought about it before jumping up with excitement, "let's go to the flower field! It's awesome at night, we might could even see a shooting star!" (Y/n) tapped her chin and then grinned, "let's do it." Varian squeaked and grabbed her hand, running out the door and through the trees. Finally, they both reached the end of the trees and before them laid thousands and thousands of flowers. (Y/n)'s eyes widened and she squealed jumping up and down, "wow! This is crazy!" She began to run through them before flopping down into them. Varian watched and laughed at her, feeling heat rise on his face. (Y/n) swung her head up and yelled back at him, "come on! It's so soft!" She stared back at him with her wide, bright eyes. Varian turned bright red before shaking his head, "I'm coming!" He ran towards her, but she tripped him and tackled him. They tossed and fought before he pinned her "gotcha!" (Y/n) stared back awkwardly, red in the face and grinned sheepishly. Varian nervously chuckled and got off of her, rubbing his neck. Coughing, (y/n) crossed her legs and began to pluck flowers. Varian watched curiously as her hands went to work. Before he knew it, she has a loop of flowers braided together. She giggled and placed it on his head, "prince Varian of Old Corona!" He stared up at his crown and smiled lightly at her, "if I knew how to make these, I'd make one for you." (Y/n) giggled, "I can show you how smart one!" She demonstrated how and before they knew it, they had crowns and bracelets and necklaces. They laughed their hearts away before the sun began to set. They got up higher and watched it, the cold crisp air reflecting the bright orange sun. (Y/n) slowly leaned her head onto Varian's shoulder and moved closer to him. He widened his eyes and began to brush brightly, but ignored it and let her closer. He held on to her tightly as they watched the sun set lower and lower. (Y/n) yawned and turned to look at Varian, "thanks for showing me this..." Varian shrugged, "it was nothing." (Y/n) stared at him and he met her gaze. They stared for what seemed like years before (y/n) smiled and looked down, "wanna know something crazy?" Varian raised an eyebrow in confusion and tilted his head, "wh-" (y/n) leaned in and kissed him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and held it. Varian widened his eyes in surprise, but soon placed his hands on her hips and closed his eyes. After a few more seconds, they separated, breathing heavier and their faces soaked with a red colour. They sat awkwardly before (y/n) shook her head, "I..I'm s-" Varian placed his finger up to her mouth and grinned, "don't be." He stood up and took her hand, leading her back home while joking and laughing.
