Aiyana
THAT'S NOT TRUE
This whole time I thought I was going crazy hearing voices, when really it was Ace's thoughts. I recognized his voice. B-but, does this mean he can hear my thoughts as well? I feel my cheeks heat up.
"Aiyana," he spoke my name, his voice muffled by the door and once again I feel a mix of emotions, anger, sadness, and disappointment...? Why, why, why, why, why, why. What did I do for this? What did I- You didn't do anything. How long have you been able to do that. Hearing your thoughts? From the first time I met you. How can you do that? I hear him sigh. "Aiyana, move away from the door," he orders.
"Or what," I croak, my voice scratchy from the crying. Another sigh. The door opens scooting me back. Well he's strong. Remember I can hear you. I don't care. The door closes and Ace stands in front of me scanning my figure. I have my back against the wall with my knees pulled to my chest and tear stained cheeks. He kneels down in front of me. I almost laugh. Is he just playing with me when acts like he cares? He uses his thumb to wipe away my tears.
"I do care Aiyana, I swear I do, but their family I have to go back, Aiyana I have to," he explains. I look up at him and grab a hold of his wrists gently in and affectionate manner.
"What about me? Aren't I you're family now Ace? The one you're suppose to love unconditionally and care for and protect?" I lean my head against his. "Please," he looks at me with pain in his eyes.
"I have to go back," he pulls away from me. My heart shatters and everything. I feel my guard go back up I feel my emotions turn themselves off. No more. No more of being broken. I'm done. His eyes dart towards me. I know he heard it. Fine. Have it you're way.
"Aiyana-"
"No, don't even try to justify your actions Ace, maybe you aren't a demon, but the devil himself," I say bitterly and get up off the ground, "I don't understand why you're going back to them, they're cruel and have no care if anyone of us humans dies, including me, you say you care, but you sure as hell don't show it," I clench my fists getting the sudden urge to punch him, "So you go ahead and go back, but I'm staying." His eyes widen at my words. Hurt shines in his eyes.
"Aiyana, please don't make this any harder than it has to be," he pleads. Fuck you. He finches.
"You made your choice Ace," I tell him, his hurt expression turns to anger.
"You're making me choose between you and my parents that's like me asking you that if your parents were alive would you choose me over them!?" he snarls. I freeze, the tears suddenly coming back.
"Wha-what are you talking about? My parents are still alive," I look at him frantically. his anger fades realizing what he said and he goes silent. "Ace?"
"I'll talk to you about it later, but I did ask a question," he says softly. I look away from him because he's right. I would find a way to choose both. Which is what he's doing by taking me back with him. "I care about you Aiyana I really do, but you have got to trust me," I look at him. Trust you? What happened to my parents Ace? I'll tell you I promise. Lets just go, okay? He grabs my arm.I look at his hand is placed then back at him. Why do I have a feeling a lot of our conversations are going to be in my head. There in my head too. I sigh in defeat. He's my fiance. The person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with , the person...I love.
"Then let's go,"
