"Hey Luke. "

If you ever happened to be put in an awkward situation, then you know exactly how I felt as I spotted the familiar blonde standing in the doorway. He looked gorgeous, as always, his tall figure leaning against the door frame, arms crossed on his chest. He was dressed in all black, from head to toe and looked like a freaking sex God.

I noticed everyone was silent and I suddenly felt really awkward. I shifted my gaze to my feet, finding my black Vans more interesting.

Eventually, someone broke the silence. And someone was a certain, also blonde, girl who had entered the room along with him. I wondered how is it that I hadn't noticed her immediately because she was... well, stunning. As I said, she had a beautiful long blonde hair, blue eyes and looked like a freaking model. Her bright clothes were complete opposite from mines, that looked as if they had been swallowed by a pool of dark ink.

''Hey guys.'' she sounded so happy, genuinely happy, unlike me. Yet another reason that makes her way better than myself.

''Hi Aleisha.'' Calum chirped, grinning at her. Her expression mirrored his and she went to give him a hug. I couldn't help myself so I looked over to Luke. And imagine my surprise when I caught him looking at me. I expected him to divert his eyes and look somewhere else, but no, he kept his gaze intensely on me. I suddenly felt weird feeling in my stomach so I forced myself to peel my eyes from the beautiful blue pool of his eyes .

And I looked just in time to see the blonde girl, Aleisha, standing in front of me, giving me the friendliest smile, holding her hand out to me.

''Hi, I'm Aleisha, Luke's girlfriend. '' I wasn't sure why she added that detail, very important may I say, but I felt my stomach drop instantly. Wait, why the hell am I surprised? Of course she's Luke's girlfriend, she's a freaking beauty queen. But I still felt slightly hurt because I actually thought he liked me. Yes, I'll admit it. I was never a person who lied to herself, I could lie to everyone else, but was always honest to myself. And I admit that I like Luke. And now that I see this beautiful girl, telling me that she's his girlfriend, broke my heart slightly. I know that I only knew Luke for a short time but in that short time, he seemed to get to me like no one else did. From the first time I saw him, I thought he was incredibly gorgeous. And no wonder he has a girlfriend.

I quickly composed myself, stretching my hand out to shake hers. I threw on my best smile. ''Nice to meet you, I'm Hazel. ''

Aleisha grinned even more. ''Such a cute name, like Hazel from The Fault In Our Stars.'' she chirped happily and I pretended to smile back, except my smile lacked enthusiasm.

''Yeah, Hazel.'' I commented but she was back to the boys, laughing and saying something about Calum's t-shirt.

I sighed, plopping down on the couch and lighting another cigarette since my previous one was no use. I pulled in a puff of smoke, exhaling in satisfaction. Just then I felt the couch shift next to me so I looked up to see him casually sitting there, his bottom lip rolled under his teeth. I felt a breath getting caught in the back of my throat and I gulped, trying not to look too obvious.

Luke spoke first.

''Have another one of those?'' he gestured towards the cigarette in my hand with one eyebrow raised. It took me a moment to process what he said and then nodded, handing him one from the pack. He put it between his teeth, gesturing for me to light it. I did and seconds later, he puffed a cloud of smoke at me. I pretended to gag, squinting my eyes at him.
