Chapter 19.

"Little White Lies"-One Direction. (doesn't really  go with the chapter, but bear with me)

''I regret this.'' I mumbled as I watched Luke strolling towards the  counter where a tall busty blonde stood, giving him a flirtatious smile. He lingered there more than he should, making me tap my foot impatiently. I cursed silently, taking my phone out to see it's 7 pm already. I gotta finish my English assignment or I'll fail. I have three days untill we have to give them to Mr. Brandon so he could grade them. I'm really afraid because I'm already on his bad side and I'm well aware of the fact that he won't hesitate to give me an F if he has to and fail me intentionally. I thought about asking Ashton to help me with it, since I'm a dumbass and have no idea what to do about it, but seeing as he seems so off these days, I don't think that is an option anymore. So, that makes me panick a little, yeah.

Luke finally returned to the table where I was sitting, giving him a cold glare as he handed me a cup of Starbucks. He plopped down onto a chair carelessly, slouching his shoulders as he took a long sip of his espresso. I suppressed a loud groan that wanted to escape my mouth so badly, keeping my glare on the boy. He, however, kept his attention focused on the blonde behind the  counter that snuck a peek at him here and then. I finally grew sick of it and slammed my hands on the surface of the marble table, snapping him from the daze he was in. Luke turned to face me with a frown etched onto his face.

''Hemmings. Would you please explain to me why am I here, having to experience you being all flirty with the agonizingly awful blonde when you have a girlfriend?'' I questioned, finishing with my eyebrows raised upwards, as  my arms went up to my chest, so I could cross them together.

Luke seemed taken aback suddenly, but then he recovered, that annoying smirk finding its way to his face. He leaned forward, supporting himself on his elbows as he watched me in amusement. I gulped, though trying to come unnoticed with the action.

''Well darling, I seem to have to talk to you about something. Maybe a certain kind of deal.'' he says mysteriously, getting uninterested, blank look from me. That seemed to distract him a little, but he recovered immediately. ''As you may or not may know, Leish and I broke up.'' he announced, getting only a blink of an eye from me, because I wouldn't let myself give him the reaction he was expecting. He probably expected me to go all 'dear God, how did that happen' and all that crap, but guess what, he's not getting the satisfaction.

Luke continued after a small huff of clear annoyance and frustration. ''She thought I cheated on her with you.'' he added, looking up at me again. I kept my face straight, though I was a bit taken aback. Why would she think that? Wait, was that why they were fighting? Did she-oh my, did she saw us at the club? Damn, I definitely did not need that.

Luke slammed his fist on the table, snapping me out of the daze I was in. I cocked an eyebrow at him. ''Why would she think that?'' I asked, even though I knew the answer.

''I don't know, she was angry and I was drunk so I wasn't exactly listening to her ramble about it. But she doesn't want to talk to me.'' he stated, eyebrows now furrowed together.

I nodded seriously. ''So, what do I have to do with all of that?'' I questioned him at last. Luke's head went up, his crystal blue eyes meeting mines. He blinked, pursing his lips, the ring pulling along with them. I averted my eyes up, trying not to appear weird. Though I couldn't care less about what his opinion of me is.

''You have to prove her wrong. She obviously thinks you and I have a thing going on or something. '' he spoke, succeeding to earn a reaction from me this time. I widened my eyes at him, gaping like a whale.

''What the fuck are you talking about? Dude, I don't have to do anything. You were onto me last night, no doubt poor girl has those thoughts. You don't deserve her, especially after that!'' I exclaimed, pointing towards the blonde that was now occupied with other customers.

Luke was getting aggravated. ''I wasn't onto you! I was piss drunk, I wouldn't even touch you if I was sober. And that has nothing to do with this.'' he growled, referring to the blonde the same way I did.

I rolled my eyes, obviously not impressed. Even his statement didn't bring anything in me. Normally, I would feel hurt slightly by those words, but nothing coming from Luke gets to me anymore. I'm just kind of... immune to his bullshit.

''Whatever you say, Hemmings. All I'm saying is that I don't want to take a part of your dirty little games. You're sick, dude.'' I told him with a shake of.my head, giving him a disappointed look. Luke huffed, his annoyance getting him definitely.  ''You sure about that, princess?''

I frowned. ''Excuse me?''

The glorious smirk was back on his face. He straightened in his position, tilting his head to the side as his tongue rolled across his bottom lip slowly.

''I may have something in it for you.'' he said darkly.

It was my turn to release a huff, coming along with an eyerol. ''What could you possibly have for me?''

Luke grinned mischievously. ''Ashton.''
