"Scott is my Alpha." Piper's father now looked as puzzled as Anthony. "how do you know Scott Jones?"
Hunter turned to his father, staring at him in disbelief.
"Go and talk to your Alpha. Tell him that we would like to meet," Anthony said, now wishing his drink had alcohol in it.
Piper's dad moved through the people as Margo, Hunter, Anthony, and Nathan watched, trying not to drop their jaws on the ground.
"Why did you do that?" Hunter murmured.
"I want to see Scott's reaction."
Flora left when Piper's father approached Scott.
"They are very shocked, just as you predicted Alpha. They don't seem to believe me."
"They wouldn't, but it's time for me to be there properly for my boys. They need to know," Scott replied feeling eyes judging his every move.
"Do you think they will take the news badly?"
"I hope not. That is my biggest fear." Scott took a deep breath and walked over to the Rayson's with a smile.
"What is going on? Has he got you mixed up with someone else?" Anthony asked, expecting them to laugh and say it was all a misunderstanding, but they didn't.
"We have a lot to talk about, but I need to tell my boys first. Please, you have no reason not to trust me. You don't have to worry; I'm on your side." Scott walked away, leaving Piper's dad to deal with their confusion.
"I won't answer your questions; it's only fair that Scott tells you himself. And on a side note, I am actually here for my daughter. I do think she deserves to be in your pack Hunter. She has made a great start already," he said nervously.

Jacota sat on the edge of his bed, taking deep breaths like Hunter had taught him to do when he felt overwhelmed. He could hear people talking downstairs and the louder it got, the more anxious he felt.
When Jacota heard footsteps coming from down the hall, he hoped it was Hunter, but his smell didn't arrive as his dad stopped by his open door and knocked.
"Hey," Scott smiled, looking over his shoulder when William appeared at the top of the stairs. Hunter told him he should follow his father. "Everything okay?"
Jacota nodded, seeing nerves on his fathers face for the first time since he told them their mother was divorcing him.
"Are you alright dad?" Will asked, seeing it too.
"Actually, I have something to tell you both. Can we come in or would Hunter prefer it if we went into William's room?"
Jacota climbed off the bed, and that was his answer as they made their way down the corridor. Scott shut William's bedroom door behind them and the boys sat on the bed while Scott pulled over the desk chair and sat close.
"I have a feeling that Jacota might know what I'm about to say, but I'll tell you both together because I wasn't sure." Scott adjusted himself on the chair, his eyes settling into their usual soft and kind expression. "First of all, I need you to know that everything I have done is to keep you both safe. You might be upset that I kept you in the dark about it, but I needed to protect you."
