Topaz's POV
"Good morning my love," Zane said as I woke up. I yawned and stretched. He kissed me."We need to start planning our wedding immediately," he said, "we will be married this evening."
"Oh, right," I said, "I just have one thing I must have in our wedding."
"Anything my dear Topaz," he said.
"My best merman will be Popplio," I said.
"Just any Popplio?" he asked.
"Of course not Zane," I said, "my best friend is a Popplio. I swam into his family when he was just an egg. We've been best friends since he hatched."
"As you wish," he said, "but we better get going now."
As we left my room, he told me, "Here's how today's going to go, we'll make wedding planning decisions with our wedding planner all morning, then this afternoon the servants will set up the wedding and we'll be fitted into our clothes, and then we'll be married at sunset."
"May I have lunch to spend some time with my best merman?" I asked.
"Sure," he said, "that will give me some time to take care of some personal things."
'Have to keep up the show Topaz,' I thought.
"Thanks," I said, giving him a big hug and kiss. After the wedding planning morning, I was glad to have a break and just eat lunch with my best friend.
"So how's it going Topaz?" Popplio asked, "which merman do you have to marry?"
"Prince Zane," I reply, "the bully from elementary. He's like totally evil but at least you get to be the best merman."
"That's good," he said.
"There's something I need you to do Popplio," I said.
"You know I'll do anything for you Topaz," he said, "now what is it?"
"I need you to follow Zane and I when we head to our honeymoon location," I said, "we will be riding on the back of a Kyogre."
"Wait you mean I have to swim all night?" he asked.
"Yes," I said, "unfortunately."
"OK," he said.
"It's just that I'll need you for backup in case I need to escape," I said, "because I just know that Zane's evil!"
"Well," Popplio said, "looks like our our lunchtime is up."
"Ugh," I said, heading towards my room, "now I have to go get fitted into my dress."
"Good luck," he said. I swam to my room and met up with Zane.
"Ready to get into your dress babe?" he asked me.
"Ready as I'll ever be," I replied. I opened my door to find that my room was already filled with all kinds of merpeople. Mother, father, what I assume to be Zane's family, tailors, and merpeople to help us get dressed. There was a divider cutting my room in half. Probably so Zane couldn't see my dress early. Mother opened my closet to reveal a pearl colored wedding gown.
"Wow," I gasped.
"Time to try it on," mother said in a singsong voice.
'Now that I'm wearing it I can take in the details,' I thought. The dress was completely sleeveless. It went halfway down my tail. It had pearls stitched in at various places.
"Now here's your veil princess," one of the maids said. The veil was the same color as the dress. It had a special tiara attached to it. It was made of the rare royal coral. It had many pearls on it with one big topaz on top.
Mother sniffled and said, "now my little girl's getting married." The tailors took all afternoon to alter my dress so it fit me perfectly.
