Flame Inside ✿ Damien and Matthew

Chapter 15

Matthew woke up to find Emma looking up at him with a smile. "Hello." She says softly.

"Hi. What did I miss?" She sits up and I do the same, "What is it?" She then goes on to explain everything Thalia told her while he was asleep. She looks up at him curiously before stating, "Thalia mentioned something else, you know?"

"What did she say?"

"She said you loved me."

Matthew looked at her in surprise and began to stammer, a blush running across his face. She giggles at his reaction and he smiles at her. "I love you." He states.

She has a bright smile on her face, "Matthew, you could have told me your feelings sooner!" He smiled at her adorableness.

She seems ecstatic, "I know, Em, I was just worried you wouldn't feel the same way."

She booped me on the nose and exclaimed, "You didn't need to worry, you big dummy!" He chuckles at her childish behavior.

Emma then quickly pecks him on the lips before falling back on the bed. Matthew quickly followed and grabbed her wrist, turning her to face him. He tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and kissed her softly. She kisses him back, causing him to smile into it. They pull away and smile, "Emma, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course, dummy."

"Is that what you're going to call me now?"

"Yep." She rests her head on his chest.

They lay like that in silence for a while until they heard moaning coming from Thalia's room. "Ew." They say in unison. Emma scrunched up her nose in disgust. It's absolutely adorable. Emma stretches out her hand and a crystal lining covers the wall that connects Thalia's room to her's and the moaning can't be heard. Emma places her hand beside her head on his chest. She soon falls asleep. "Good night, my little star." He kisses her forehead before falling asleep once again.

Emma wakes up and walks out on the balcony, "I know you're there, Diana." The succubus walks out of the shadows and Emma turns to her, "What do you want?" Diana pushed herself up onto the railing and sat there.

"To make a deal." She replies. Emma gestures for her to go on, "You give me enough energy to go home and fight for my kingdom, and I'll remove that voice from your head."

Emma looked at her in surprise, "How do you know about that?"

She looked down at her nails, "After you ran away from your abusive father, your mind was in a weakened state. So a spirit invaded and its only job is to break you even more."

"Don't listen to her! She's lying!"

"Shut up!"

"How would removing this spirit affect me?"

"It would be like a really painful headache."

"Deal."

"NO! You can't do this, you pathetic bitch! You're worthless!"

"Bye, bye, bitch."

"NO!"

Diana began chanting something under her breath and she cast her hand towards Emma. Her head felt like it was going to explode. She fell forward and onto her hands and knees. She grunted in pain trying not to scream and wake Matthew up. And then it stopped. She looked up to see a glowing red orb floating away into the sky. A hand was stretched out to her. Emma took Diana's hand and she helped her up. Emma felt a draining feeling go through her hand. She looked into Diana's eyes and nodded her head in thanks. The succubus then pulled her in for a kiss.

It was a soft kiss but the draining feeling was there. When she pulled away, Emma felt a bit woozy. "Go back to bed now." She said, "I just need to talk to your friend before I leave." Emma nodded and went back to bed. She crawled back into Matthew's arms and fell back to sleep.

Thalia stood on her balcony waiting for Diana to come, she didn't know how she knew the succubus would. She just did. "Oh, you're already here." She turned when she heard Diana's voice.

"You're here to offer me a deal, right?" She asked.

Diana nods, "I'll make Damien human for your energy."

"No deal."

"What?"

"I read your mind. You can't actually make him human. Sure you can replicate it but I have a feeling that something in the future will cause him to know the truth. And, I don't want him to go through that heart break."

"Fine."

"I will still give you my energy, Diana. I feel like you're going to need it." Thalia smirked lightly, "It also doesn't hurt that you're really hot."

Diana chuckles lightly and kisses her, gently. Both girls somewhat basked in the feeling of each other's lips despite feeling nothing but a strange mixture of friendship and distaste for the other. Diana found herself taking more energy from Thalia as she almost didn't want to say goodbye to the ginger. Despite their differences, Diana found that she actually really liked Thalia. Even as Thalia pulled away, somewhat lightheaded, she gave Diana a soft smile, "We will meet again, Diana. I can feel it." She says before walking back inside and falling back asleep in Damien's arms.
