Thalia opened her eyes and looked around. She didn't see Damien anywhere. She sat up and furrowed her brows, Where was he?
"Oh, good morning." Thalia looked towards the door to see Damien holding a tray full of food.
Thalia smiled softly, "Morning! Is that for us?"
Damien smiled brightly, "Yeah, I figured, why not have breakfast in bed?" Damien sat down beside me, placing the tray over both of our laps. The food smelled amazing and she couldn't wait to dig in. Before they began to eat, however, Damien picked up the TV remote from the nightstand beside him, "James' big toy reveal is today. Do you mind if we watch it?" She shook her head.
James had become the CEO of the Anderson Toy Company, so Thalia was curious to see how he was doing and how the company was holding up. From what Mika told her, it was rising higher and higher up the top business rankings and soon had become one of the top five-hundred businesses internationally. Thalia was proud of James, but she was more happy to see that Damien seemed to be his number one fan. It was absolutely adorable to see the giddy way he speaks of his brother's accomplishments.
Damien grinned before turning on the TV and changed the channel to the local news station. "Alright, so here we have an interesting story to tell: the Anderson Toys Company, an internationally famous toy business, has just recently announced a new line of toys in development. According to the CEO, the line is said to focus on fantasy. Let's take a look at the public announcement." The news anchor states.
James appears on the screen, "I am more than happy to show off our new line. 'Fantasy Kingdom,' for you all this morning. These toys will not only provide friendship and fun for children around the world, but will help inspire imaginations and let creative minds grow."
When the toys came onto the screen, Thalia let out a squeal before grinning excitedly. All lined up in a row were adorable, cartoon-like stuffed fantasy dolls. There were knights, royalty, and creatures of all kinds, some not even truly fantasy. Damien chuckled quietly at the sight. Her head whips towards her fiancé, "What are you laughing about? They're all really cute!"
Damien puts his hands up in surrender, "They are! Only a couple of them are real, though."
She raised a brow, "Oh, really? Which ones?"
"Vampires are real, but they don't look like that; they look like humans though. Werewolves used to exist too, though they were killed off by the vampire long ago... Oh, Angels are real too, only they don't look like that..."
She furrowed her brows, "How do they look if they're not like that?"
"Well, they look...um..." Damien rubbed his chin as he thought, "They look like old statues. It's really hard to say without drawing it out or something..." Damien's description just made her think of the weeping angels from Doctor Who, which caused her to shiver.
Thalia looked back at the TV and saw the entire line of toys. She hummed, "I'm surprised he didn't make a demon toy, like a cat girl or something."
"I don't think many people would understand it... though it would be cool to have a demon doll."
She nodded in understanding, "I guess you're right. They are for kids, after all..."
Thalia loved the sparkle that was in Damien's eyes. She was curious about what interested Damien, and she almost asked him about if he ever had a toy as a kid, but then she remembered about the cruelty Damien was shown, so she decided against it. Instead she asked, "Damien, have you ever had a toy."
Damien smiled brightly, and nodded enthusiastically. It was absolutely adorable. "When I came to the human world, I got a stuffed kitten. It didn't do anything, but it was fluffy and cute..." He rubs the back of his head in embarrassment, "It must be dumb, huh? A grown man with a cute toy like that?"
"No way! It's cute."
Damien looks at me in surprise, "Really?"
She nodded and ruffled his hair, "Yeah cute toys are cute for a reason. It doesn't matter how old you are, you can like what you want."
Damien smiles at her and tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear, "You are so adorable, you know that?"
She smirked and stated, "I could say the same to you." She projected an image of Damien hugging a stuffed cat into his head. He blushes. She giggled and kissed his cheek.
They both turned back to the TV and listened as James explained each toy in detail. She looked over to Damien to see him practically enthralled. She gently nudged him, making him look back at her, "Jeez, you're making me jealous! It's like James is enthralling you through the TV to buy his toys!" She smirked.
Damien raised a brow and gently moved the tray off their laps, placing it on his nightstand before crawling over her body and making her lay back. She stared up at him in surprise as he gave a seductive smirk, "And what if I was enthralled by you?"
His eyes flash gold and she smirks, "Well, my love, I would say that Lady Hecate should have informed me of this power." Damien chuckled before leaning down and kissing her. She felt warmth spread through her. His enthrallment was something that enhances their relationship. She loved him and the way he kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him and rolled them over so she was on top of him. She deepened the kiss. Then their stomachs rumbled and she pulled away from the kiss, giggling.
She rolled off of him and sat up against the pillows. Damien chuckles and says, "Maybe we should eat before we continue this, huh?" She nodded and smiled brightly. They eat the delicious breakfast and spend the rest of the day not really doing anything. It's relaxing.
