------------------------Kats pov

I followed Sam over to the drinks. There was cider or beer. I ended up picking cider. I never really liked beer, but those purple and blue drinks looked interesting. I made a mental note to try those later on in the evening.

We chose a place by the wall to lean against. "How's Dave been then?" Sam raised an eyebrow."

I sighed. "Only just bearable."

I grumbled. "I suppose there's not much to catch up on seeing as we only say each other a few hours ago!" I chuckled.

"Have you seen Britney?" Sam asked as he surveyed the crowd. My face fell. "Yea. She let us in. Not sure where she is now!"

As if on que there was a high pitched squeal and the click clack of heels as before Britney threw herself at Sam. Purposefully Flicking her hair in my face making he cough. "hey sammy!" she giggled.

I suddenly noticed how cold his face looked but she hadn't. "Don't call me sammy ever again. Go away."

She looked a little shocked. "But sammy..." she whined.

"Britney were over. So get off me!" he removed her arms from around his neck and she moved a few paces back. "I saw you with Cameron behind the bike shed.Don't even try to deny it!" he looked furious. I moved forwards and rubbed his arm in a soothing way. He visibly calmed down at this.

Britney's face went from a look of shock to one of anger. "Fine. I don't need you! Just go back to that clingy bitch! It's all her fault! she's stealing you away from me!" she shrieked.

I took a threatening step forwards. "Say that again!" I said through gritted teeth. She ignored me and went on insulting Sam.

"I never needed you anyway Sam. You have no one else to go to! No one but me! you have no choice but to stay with me! Otherwise you'll be alone! No one wants you!" she yelled at him. By this time a few people had stopped what they were doing and were looking at us. "Oh go and shove a sock up it Britney! Not like you'll have much trouble!" I spat. You can insult me all you like but back away from my friends! I pulled Sam away from her. Or I tried to. Before I could go very far I felt someone yank my ponytail back, making me stumble blindly. I saw claw like hands coming towards my face. Hell no! I ducked under her arm and twisted her arm behind her back. "Get off! He's mine! I saw him first, you can't just take people's boyfriends!" Britney yelled as she struggled against my grip. "Let's get some things straight, shall we? number one. You cheated on Sam. Not the other way round.

Two. You sound like a spoilt brat.

Three. NEVER think you can win in a fight against me. I have taken on boys twice your size and won.

And lastly. If you ever talk rubbish about my friends ever again I will destroy you and your stupid social order." I let go of her arm.

"THIS IS WHY WE DON'T GET NICE THINGS!!!" Jess screamed from the other side of the room.

"This party sucks! let's go!" Ash yelled as she picked up a crate of cider.

"You know what. We'll come too!" Sam nodded to the rest of his gang who groaned in reluctance. Oscar winked at a girl and slipped her his number. "It's clear we are not wanted here." Ash remarked as she hauled the crate onto her shoulder. Britney screamed in frustration and anger. "Get out now!!" she threw a glass at the closing door making it shatter into a million pieces. The door opened again and a shoeless Jess traipsed in over the glass. "Forgot my shoes... And my cousin." She hauled Dave away from the lady he was chatting up and over the glass before slamming the door shut. As we all walked away from the party, which music had started blaring again, a few girl (probably Britney's mates out to avenge her) ran out of the house after us throwing glass bottles at us. We ran as fast as we could down twisting alleys. We suddenly realised we had no way of getting home and were lost.

"We could jack a car?" Ash suggested. There was a smacking sound followed by an "ow." Guess that idea was out of the question.

I get why we don't go to parties now...
