Yeah for a while there I don't know what was going through my mind. I mean, with what happened with my uncle that almost no one knew about, and the fact that I was starting to think girls looked sexy.

This started heating up. I was going over to my uncles anymore out of fear of what happened last time happening again. I was walking down the hall to my financial literacy class. Mr. Harris started the lesson as I plugged my earbuds in and worked on the financial assignment - resume.
Being a Sophomore, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I loved gaming. It was one of my favorite things to do. I bite down on the end of my pen as I see a boy with long blond hair and glasses looking at me. I felt a blush creep into my cheeks, this boy is cute I thought, but he'd never want someone like me.
Rumors flooded the school about me being gay and that I cheated on my last boyfriend. It was a messy breakup that caused my best friends to become his friends. I had no friends. No one.
I pulled out a book and began to read, but I couldn't help keeping my eyes off of him. He was young. 15 year old prodigy and has moved around a lot. He had never been in a relationship nor have any friends that or girls or even many friends.
He was smart and super funny and was caring. He came up to me after class and we started talking about video games - a common interest we shared. There was also a girl around this same period of time I was kinda crushing on but I never said anything for I wanted to never date a female. Not after Tonya. Never again would I I thought.
This boy - Corwin - and me had gotten very close, best friends. We went to the movies almost every Friday and played video games when we couldn't physically hang out. His parents and brother where really nice. I liked hanging with them.
Then it hit me. It hit me like a freight train coming down a high way on a rainy day. My parents divorced.
In the middle of my biology class I cried. I cried so much and leaned into the comfort of my friends arms. He didn't let go. He soothed me.
I realized shortly after that I liked him and eventually told him. He had felt the same way and we dated for about a year. Then summer came and he found out he was moving to Colorado... he'd have to leave me just like every other boy had.
It hurt. I gave him the ring I kept on my ring finger. "Strength" was the word inscribed onto the stainless steel. His mother came from the closet with a little panda bear. "This bear was Corwin's when he was a baby. He'd like you to have it to remember him by. He always referred to you as panda. His panda. So fluffy and adorable to him. Won't you take it?" I took it and placed it into my bag and when home I put it behind solid glass.
To this day it is there to stay. It shall never leave me. Like him I thought....
