Part 36 ... Over protective

JB's POV 《 Walking 》

We finished Recording our new piece today, and already discuss in the meeting the strategy that will be use in promoting our coming Comeback Stage and the new piece, that we will use as the title track. After the meeting Mr. Park talked to us quickly and handed his card for our celebration. Saying that he will not be able to join due to his meetings, leaving the boys and Min Ri behind. While the boys are on a topic I suddenly thought of checking my phone and that's when I saw that I have a text from Min Ri. She's asking me for her car key. Right! I wasn't able to give it back to her since she insists me to leave her in the clinic. So I excused myself to the boys as fast as I can and hurriedly went out of the Recording Booth.

I am now walking in the carpark, and saw Min Ri from a distance, leaning her back on her car and looking down at her feet while she playfully swing one of it. I took a deep breath before start walking near her. I am just a few steps away to her, from where I am standing now however it seemed she's still not feeling my presence. So I decided to speak.

"How long have you been here?" I asks, which made her lift her head and looking at me now ... with a smile flased in her face

"Not that long." She said joyfully and softly. I eyed her injured hand which seemed she notice and so she hid it behind her. I walk to her to shorten the gap between us. I leaned to her and carefully grab her injured hand that she hid.

"Why hiding it?" I asks her, while looking on her injured hand and carefully checking it

"Hmm, I am not!" She said with conviction, but still didn't manage to convince me

"Come on I'll send you home." I told her still holding her injured hand, which makes me able to feel that she cringed from what I just said

"Ah-ahh, you don't have to send me. Really." She said turning down my offer

"I insist! And you can't do anything about that." I retorted, coldly and firmly and she didn't argue anymore but saw her gulped. Well, I honestly didn't mean to scare her or anything.

I took her car key from my pull over pocket and open the front passenger seat and help her climbed, and just like what I did this morning I buckle her seatbelt again then close the door beside her and walk to the driver seat and climbed. Buckled my seatbelt and start the car engine. And in just a matter of minute or two are on the road.

''We've finished recording.'' I said informing her breaking the silence brewing between us. And in my surprise she suddenly lean towards me, making her body shift to me.

''Can I listen to it now?'' she asks, giving me a soft smile but looking all excited. And a sudden idea struck my mind.

''But you know it's a no no.'' I reminded her, talking about spoiler or spiling infor prior our Comeback Stage.

''Hmm, yeah right! Specially what had happened. I understand.'' she said agreeing, and still looking enthusiastic. Okaaayy I guess my idea didn't work at all. But I must say, I'm impressed to her being understanding and enthusiastic. 

''Did you eat?'' She asks out of the blue without looking at me

''Hmmm, n-'' I trailled off

''Yeah, I'm right, no!'' she said cutting me off, and giving me a squint look

''And what made you thing you're right?'' I asks her, challenging

''Hmm, I just know.'' she said shrugging her shoulder

''Should we stop somewhere and eat?'' I asks

''NOO!'' she responded fast with a towering tone, which made me almost jump in my seat that she seems able to notice. ''Sorry'' she quickly apologized without looking at my direction while sinking from her seat. I decided to park the car on the side, so I gave a signal light to the cars behind us.

Once we are parked and I already shut the Car engine, I faced her. ''What's with the reaction?'' I asks, but she didn't answer me and just kept staring in front of the Car. ''Guess, what. You're going to tell me the reason.'' I told her and I just saw her pressing her lips hard together, showing no sign nor plan of talking. So I added, ''I'll make you speak then ...'' I said '', no matter what.'' I informed her and saw her took a deep breath, now staring at me and pout. 'Goodness! Why does she need to do that!?'

''Ihhhhh,'' she said then press her lips together again which earns a frowned look from me.

''You sure you won't tell me?'' I asks, and she remains not talking, ''Okaaaay--'' I continue but was cut by her

''Fine! Fine! Fine!'' Finally she said and sit straight. ''You don't let go petty things, do you?'' She asks. And I just gave her a smirk which she returns a deadly look. 'Yeah, I don't let go petty things ... specially the important ones.' I though to myself

''Now tell me.'' I told her, sitting up properly and crossed my arms, ''Why you shouted 'NO' on top of your head?'' I asks

''That didn't even reach my throat.'' she defends with sarcasm but looking innocently

''You really know how to talk back.'' I commented to her. ''Now tell me, and don't beat around the bush.'' I told her as a warning. She then took a deep breath

''I-I jus--'' she started but trailled off, and after a few seconds she speaks again, ''Okay! I can't go with you eating outside. I don't wanna be captured with you going around, nor my hair being pulled by your fans.'' she hanker

So that explains it. ''Then we can eat inside.'' I simply replied to her, and she gave me a 'seriously?' message look. ''What?'' I asks

''Yah! That's not what I mean.'' she told me

''Isn't your worry is if we will eat out people will see you with me, but if we will eat ... let say in your house it's fine. Right? '' I retort

''Yah! Don't put words in my mouth.'' she hissed

''Wa-wait! When did I do that?'' I asks her

''Just now! You falsely attribute my statement.'' she exclaimed

''Fine! If you don't wanna eat with me.'' I said then start the car engine and start driving on the road. I didn't speak again and so Min Ri. Though I can see thru my peripheral view that she occasionally looking into my direction.
