The moment Dani felt herself leaving solid ground she gripped the black vial at her neck, tugging it free urgently.Desperation caused her kin blood to reawaken with a sudden rush as she fell through the air, screaming.
In the panic Dani struggled to gather her power, instead it lashed out, whipping up winds and lashing the mountain rage.
Her strength was quickly waning as the dragon blood burned through her veins and once again her human body failed to adapt quickly enough to assimilate.
With one final focus pushed, Dani reached within herself, siezing control she pulled at the wind and for a moment she felt her body slow down to a hover.
Unfortunately it was too little too late, as the wind howled and the edges of her vision darkened she lost contact with her powers and let out a final scream as she plummeted toward the earth.
Dani's one consolation was that she would not be conscious when she hit the ground.

On the back of Aegar, Vada and Cas soared in the direction of the scream that had echoed through their minds despite their deep sleep.
As they soared higher they saw a dark figure pacing back and forth along a cliff edge ahead of them. Behind him a small camp was visible.
'Kin?' Cas called through the howling of the wind.
Vada switched to kin sight.
'No, human...' Vada replied, 'a very distressed human.'
Aegar pulled to a halt suddenly and Cas slammed into Vada's back with a thud.
'What's the deal Aegar!' Cas snapped, rubbing his bruised chest.
'The wind,' he replied mysteriously.
As they hovered the wind battered them, unsteady the dragon, he swayed like a boat on the stormy sea.
Vada's hair whipped around wildly and then the wind changed direction, the violent blow became a suction like pull as the gale gathered up into a twister that tore between the mountains.
'It can't be!' Aegar declared. Before the siblings could question him he swooped towards the tornado, all the winds to pull him along, increasing his speed he hurtled towards the break between the mountain columns.
'Pull back, pull back!' Cas panicked but Vada's suspensions were raised and she stared at the cone like funnel growing rapidly in size.
Then suddenly she saw it, a small figure falling through the air.
'There!' Vada declared, 'Someone is falling!'
At her words Aegar began a nose dive.
'Kin!' He announced.
