Chapter 8 Igneel POV

How long has it been. Since I've seen yuzu. These past years have been horrible. But I finally get to be free after this. I finally get to see yuzu.
They set me free of my chains leading me to a door. Finally. They open the doors very slowly. The light blinding me with its incredible glow. This glow..it reminds me of yuzu's spirt.
She never gave up. Not even for a second. Everyone could look at her with pride. I just hope she remembered that.
I walk out to the open field and immediately start walking my way to a town. I can sense yuzu's smell even if we're miles apart. I pick it up a bit stronger this time and start running. After an hour or two of running I just got tired.
For a dragon, running isn't one of our best skills. Now I'm just walking. This is still getting me nowhere. If I don't pick up the pace I might not see yuzu till I'm dead!
I then got the greatest idea! How about I just transform. Yes, I haven't transformed in a long time but I remember. I then concentrated on what I wanted most. Yuzu yuzu yuzu! 
Was all my head was thinking about. I then felt my body slowly transform. A couple seconds later I'm off the ground flying again. It actually feels nice to feel the breeze from up here.
I then take off at an incredible speed. I'm so going to see yuzu again. I will.

I look at the sky. It seems as if it's noon. I did only leave so early in the morning. Man! I don't think I'm anywhere near that town! It's driving me crazy!
I then turn to my surprise I see a huge town. More a less a city.  I then transformed back into my human body. Short spiky red hair, a very well built body, and blood shot eyes.
I then start to walk into the entrance of this mysterious town. I look everywhere and all I see is shops. Shops everywhere!
"Sorry coming through!"
Someone's says. That voice rings in my head. Yuzu's...
I see her running farther with a girl in her arms with embarrassment written all over her face. I then take off running after them. I come to a halt once they go inside the castle. I waited a bit so I didn't seem like a stalker. But from their view I probably look like one.
After a minute or so I get my scary butt up and walked in front of the huge doors. Here we go... I walk into the castle pushing the doors wide open. I then finally manage to say, "is Yuzu Dragneel here?" I see three people turn their gazes to me. One a very tall young man, a tall girl with lavender eyes, and....yuzu. Her spiky bangs hanging above her confused face. Including her other spikes just poking above her head.
"Yes sir what is it" I hear yuzu say with the most amazing voice I've heard in ages.
"Well there's no good way to put it but...it's me Igneel" I do my best grin in hopes she remembers me. I look at yuzu seeing she's frozen. After a minute of staring she put in her low dragon voice.

"Prove it" she said.

I then go in position. I got this...do it for yuzu's sake.
"FIRE DRAGON ROAR" I roar out a blast of fire. I then stop my roar and look at yuzu. She's tearing up.
"Honey-"
"DAD!"
She runs to me and hugs me really tight.  I miss this embrace. I feel her tears messing up my shirt. But I don't care. As long as yuzu is like this...I'm perfectly fine. I hug yuzu back just as tightly.
"So dad why did you leave" she asked after a moment or so after our imbrace.
"Well you'll have to know that in the future" I state with a stern face. Yuzu nods then tells the girl beside something. The taller girl nodded and they both looked at me.

"Dad this is mei...my girlfriend" yuzu says with a determined face. I loved how yuzu would do that face. Anytime she didn't have enough strength for iron fist she kept making that face. It was so cute.

"OMG my little girl is growing up! Already has a girlfriend! Beat that boys!" I shout. Yuzu just stares at me with childish eyes. We have those same eyes. I love how I just pull out daddy dragon on the house.
"Anyway dad wanna see me roar"
"YES!" You think for an adult I should be mature. But no I'm quiet childish if you ask me.

Yuzu then steps forward stomping the ground a little.
"FIRE DRAGON ROAR!" I see a HUGE flame burst out of Yuzu's mouth. She really has grown up. I walk over there and slap her back.
"AYE THATS MY GIRL" I shout once more in my daddy dragon voice. I then see Mei walk over.
"Hey Mr. Dragneel I was wondering if you would like to sleep in our guest room." I nod my head in a manly manner.
"Mei...please take care of yuzu...she can be a handful" I whisper into her ear. She blushed at my statement.

After a long dinner we head into our rooms for the night. I wish mei and yuzu a goodnight before I head off to my room. Yuzu looks so happy. I'm so glad I get to see her again. I say to myself as I felt a small tear slide it's way down. I just smile and drift off into a deep slumber.
