Chapter 20 Yuzu POV

I felt dizzy once I woke up. I started to grab something close and it felt weird.

"Squishy, big, round, squishy" I said while squeezing the object lightly.

My vision came back to me and I looked up to see my blushing mess of a girlfriend. I looked down to see where my hand was and my eyes widened at the sight.

"Uhhh... oops" I said in a nervous tone.

"Yuzu you pervert!!" I felt a soft hand karate chop my head.

"Ow watch the spikes!"

I heard people giggling in the background. I turned my head to see Zeref, who looks like he's having a seizure and himeko, who looks like a hot air balloon.

"Hey stop laughing!" I said angrily.

"What are you gonna do about it" I heard himeko say.

I pushed up my sleeve and went straight for a punch. Sadly Mei karate chopped me again. I saw Zeref hold himeko back as well.

"Whatever lets go" I said while walking ahead of them with Zeref.

"So yuzu what're you gonna do" I heard zeref say.

I nearly forgot about what happened on the train. Well not entirely, Mei hit my poor ear when she karate chopped me so it still hurts. I started rubbing my ear in the process of me thinking.

Maybe I can karate chop her head. Or I could simply ignore her. Yeah we're mates so it should affect her in some way.

"I'll just ignore her" I said plainly.

"Even though your mates" Zeref said confused.

"It'll affect her some type of way so why not" I said in my cocky voice.

"Yeah and one of them is death you idiot" Zeref said in a whisper shout.

I simply rolled my eyes and jumped on his shoulders. It looked so tall from up here then from what I'm used to. This was like a new type of world. I turned my head to see Mei and himeko trying to catch up with us.

"Bro slow down a bit" I said in his little baby ear.

He nodded his head and I saw the two catch up. Okay let the plan begin!

I turned my head towards the sky and it looked so pretty. I kept starring at the sky until I realized that a tree just hit me in the head.

"Haha that's what you get for being heavy" Zeref said in a childish way.

I lowly growled and shook it off. I didn't really feel like fighting my brother. More or less himeko. I saw Mei put her hand out in attempts of getting me to take it.

I did take her hand but I just walked in front of everybody. I turned my head seeing them so far behind that I stood there waiting like an idiot. Ugh who walks in front of people and then just waits for them anyway.

Once they all were up at the same walking pace as I was I started losing it.

"Mei how could you love that girl when you have me" himeko said in a small voice.

"Because you left so I did other things with my life" Mei said in a monotone way.

"But I still..." I cut himeko short by me running away back into the forest.

I ran as fast as I could. I didn't want to hear the rest of that conversation. I could hear Mei calling out to me and so did Zeref. I could care less right now but there's nothing to care for.

I think I ran far enough so I sat down on a log and I saw rain droplets. My scarf started to show less life in it than usual. After a little droplet it started to pour down with rain.

I just grabbed my scarf and put it around my neck even tighter. Maybe boss was right, maybe I really don't deserve to be here. Maybe I should've never went with Shō.

My dragon symbol on my shoulder started to lose its color. I started to cry letting all of my emotions out one by one. Each tear sadder than the other. Maybe I just have to die!!

Flashbacks

"This is your bodyguard yuzu...the Magi Kid!"

"I did it for you Mei"

"Lil sis"

"Well there's no good way to put it but it's me Igneel"

"Thank you"

"I'll name you happy!"

"We all care about you, Never forget that"

"I love you too"

End of flashbacks

No, I shouldn't die, it would just hurt other people. I care about them too. I may not show it but I do. They're the reason why I'm still standing here, stronger than ever. They're the only reason why I'm not dead. They're the  reason why I fight to the death.

I gripped my hand even though it was wobbling. I did it again and again and again until I could feel it. I felt my mark gain it's color back. My scarf had more life into it.

I stood up and and put my head high in the sky. The rain had me fully weak now. Even so I roared like the mighty dragon I am. I started running down the muddy path to the castle.

It wasn't to far so I didn't have to go through the city. I ran and ran and ran until I slipped on some mud. I flew in the air and went fell face first in the mud.

I wasn't going to let that stop me so I whipped my face clean and instantly shot back up. I'm not letting anything get between my happiness. Not this time.

I started running and soon enough I found my way to the castle. I stood there panting while the rain still kept its raging storm going. I finally found my breath and prepared myself. I moved my weak hand up to the door and pushed it open. I saw Zeref, dad, Shō, Matsuri, Harumin, Happy, and...

"Mei.." I said in a very weak tone.

I didn't realize I was crying this whole time I was running. I wobbled towards Mei and fell into her arms. I sobbed even louder due to the whole place being silent.

"T-thank you"

I gripped Mei's shirt as she kneeled down and hugged me. I then felt more arms pair around us. I saw Zeref first, who looked like he held in a tear, Happy, who was crying, Matsuri and Harumin, who were also holding back tears, dad, who was balling his eyes out, and Shō, who had a sad smile.

I felt all their warmth that made me feel safe. Then I felt a sudden warmth that felt strange. I saw my demon side with a grin. Heh, to think all demons are bad.

She wrapped her arms around me sending me more comfort. I stopped crying and I slowly calmed down. I saw E.Y.D disappear into the mist.

I felt relaxed as I finally let the rain get to me. I've been holding back for way to long. But I can care less.

As long as I'm with you Mei, I'm happy...
