"So Furu, where is your Jackal squad?" Sonic asked.

"In this desert. We made a living by fighting robots, taking their scrap metal pieces to exchange for what we need."

"Sounds like you were always after Eggman's shiny mechs all this while."

"Pretty much. But I put my foolish dreams of seeing the world in chaos ahead of my comrades. That's how I became Infinite."

"Ohhh..."

"What about you? You should be relaxing while your Regalia do all the easy jobs." Furu looked at Karan.

"It's a really long history you'll need to understand." Karan said. "I'll tell you when we stop for the night."

It was night time, all four of them were surrounding a fire, enjoying a simple supper while Karan started boring them with the history of Regalias and Masters.

"So, you know that in our world, some humans exist as Masters while some... Are just like Eggman."

"A Regalia can be any Mobian being, and he or she doesn't know whether they are a Regalia or not. Masters can only tell by the aura they release. Only potential Mobian beings release an aura, others don't. Like for Sonic, he's releasing a blue aura now. You are releasing one too, a dark coloured one. "

"Me?" Furu asked.

"Yeah. So, Masters like us come from different clans. Each clan bears its responsibility to ensure peace from Phantoms. Phantoms are these dark shadows that lurk around, trying to consume a Mobian into darkness. In other words, they're the bad guys and we're responsible for keeping them away. "

"Anyway, where was I? So, each clan is entrusted with their own territory, forms a contract with the selected Mobian being. Each Mobian is given a name with the Master's clan name behind. For Sonic, his given name is Shu, and our clan name is Ki, so his name is Shuki."

"Once a name is given, the Mobian will turn into a certain tool or weapon that will help his or her Master to kick Phantoms' ass. After that, the name will stay forever until your Master cuts the contract."

"Like here." Sonic pulled back a little of his fur to reveal a symbol (朱) on his chest. Gadget nor Infinite had ever seen Sonic's Regalia name before.

"The current clans that are here and close to Mobius are the Ki (記) clan and the Ma (間) clan. The Ma takes care of the another city, while we take care of Mobius."

"That's about that. It's the lamest history lesson. Got an idea somehow?"

"How many Regalias can a Master own?"

"Well...there's no limit. The only concern will be the strain you endure. The more you get, the more stressful your body becomes. Our older brother, Ken has five while the rest of us only have one."

"Then where's yours?"

"I fired him. He was caught leaking information to Eggman, and I fired him on the spot."

"Well, being a Regalia can be fun and stressful at the same time." Sonic said.
"Lord Ken allows us to run free and do whatever we want, but we will need to be back in Mobius some times to help with the Phantoms. Sometimes the Phantoms can be a chore, but Lord Ken's always there to save the day."

"Yeah. Now I need to find another suitable Regalia to serve me, or I'm going to be so bored and unable to hog all the fun."

"You can still work in your clinic right? Gadget asked.

"Yeah...but it's going to be super boring. After all, I'm the one dealing with most of the healing during the war..."

"I heard rumours that Masters actually force Mobian beings to be come Regalias though..." Gadget commented.

"You're talking about assholes. We want someone to be willing to help us be rid of evil. Forcing someone is to submit themselves so you is a full load of crap."
