Chapter 6

"Mrs. Brown to the front office please." The intercom said.

Everyone in class turned to looked at me. I was surprised I never have to go there, but I had to. So I left class to go. I'm curious why I have to go.

"You wanted me?" I said

"Yes. You haven't been to school in a while. Why didn't you come yesterday?" The attendance lady asked me.

"I didn't feel yesterday morning. I thought I caught the flu or something. I stayed home to be sure. I can't get my team sick, especially before our game." I lied.

"Okay. Well don't miss another day. Doesn't the soccer team have a game tomorrow?"

"Yes." I said with a smile.

"Oh well good luck." She said.

"Thanks but we don't need it." With that I left and headed back to class.

Lunch time. Most students favorite time of the day. They get to eat and be with their friends. How fun. During lunch I meet up with my team and sit. We always eat a granola bar for lunch. Once we finish it we talk. We talk about our games and who we are up against.

"We are going against Eastland High." Cassie says to us.

"Yeah and I heard they have only won a game." said Maggie.

"It will be an easy win." Leslie said.

"Guys. Just because they don't win doesn't mean we don't try. If we know we are going to win than lets win big." I said to my team.

"Layla is right. Don't get to confident that we are going to win. You never know. We could slip some how. Not saying it will but it could." Leslie told our team who's shocked from my response.

"Okay girls!" I yelled to my team mates.

"Line up." I said and they did.

"I've got something to share hwith you." I said going into the coaches office.

I grabbed a rack with our new uniforms. We just got a new uniform not to long ago but this one is way better.

"I'm going to hand them out and you can't open them until everyone has them. They are our new uniform." I call out to the girls in front of me.

"Yay!" a girl said

"Finally!" it's been like 4 months since we got new ones." Cassie said.

I got them all handed out.

"1...2...3! Open them!!!" I said

"Omg. They are perfect."

"They are amazing!"

"Omg. Perfection."

"These are so pretty!!!"

"Love them!"

And other comments are made by them.

"I'm glad you guys like them. They weren't cheap." I said playfully.

"We are now sponsored by Nike!" I called out to my team.

"Yay!" They all said.

"Now that we are sponsored by Nike, they believe that we can win and show off our uniforms." Leslie says.

"Leslie is right. We need to win and win big with our new uniforms." I say.

"You guys can go back to class now. We have a game today. Come to the gym in your uniform so we can talk about the game for a while and warm up. Okay?" I tell my team.

"Okay." They all tell me as they are leaving.

I go to period 7 one last class than I will be playing on the field. I will be where I was born to be. On the field I can be me. The one and only me. In full concentration.

"Hey babe." I hear coming my way.

"Hey Jacob." I tell him.

"I can't wait to see you win."

"I can't wait to play on the field."

"You girls will win...again." he tells me.

Why wouldn't we win. We always win. We will win this game. He doesn't need to tell me because I already know.

"Of course." I tell him. Finagling it with a kiss in his lips.

"I like this side of you. Kissing me in public. You don't like to kiss in public."

"Well I like to try new things." I tell him. Than finish with a kiss on the cheek and a big smile. My life is perfect.
