Chapter 14 Part 2

Brett comes in and run towards me he says "Holy shit! Are you okay?!? I'm gonna kill whoever did this to you! They won't be able to walk when I'm done with them. You know what lets make it walk and talk!"

"Can you please help me up? You can do whatever you want to him but after you help me!" I tell my brother.

"Oh yeah sorry sis. I kinda got carried away. Anyway who did this to you?" He said as he was helping get up and walk.

"The judge. The one that worked the most recent one mom did." I barely tell him because its hard to breathe.

"I'm gonna kill him! But why were you here anyways?" He is one curious guy.

"I came to see what happened with mom's case. She never loses one. I had to investigate and that's what I've been doing. Turns out the judge got paid to make mom lose. He told me. He can go to prison. He admitted it Brett, mom could start working again!" I tell my brother excitingly but it hurts to much but I manage the pain.

"That's amazing! But in order for him to go to prison he has to admit it." He tells me with a sad tone of voice.

"Do you think I'm stupid? I wasn't going to leave with nothing. I got everything recorded." I tell my brother.

"Layla! I love you with all my heart! You're a genius!!!" He tells me just about yelling it

"Okay let's go to the police office. He will get in more trouble for child abuse I am under 18. I can't wait to send this guy to prison. He deserves it!" I tell my brother.

"Hold your horses. We have to talk to mom and dad about this. We have to make sure it's okay to turn him in. We don't want to make a big deal if mom and dad don't need it. You know? They do have important jobs and we can't ruin that." My brother tells me seriously.

"HOW CAN WE NOT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?!? HE DESERVES IT! HE RUINED MOM'S CAREER! AND HE ABUSED ME!" I tell him. This time I yelled it at him. I didn't care about the pain.

"I know that. But we have to talk to them and I'm gonna call someone to tow your car back to the house. I will drive you home." He tells me.

"Okay. Fine ." I tell him.

We get home and mom and dad are both home. Why are they home? They are never home. What made them come today?

"Kids? Is that you?" My mom asks.

"Yes mom." Brett and I both say in unison.

"If you have plans for dinner cancel them. We are having a family dinner." She told us.

"Okay and is this about what I found out?" I asked.

"No. Honey. What did you find out?" She asked.

"I will announce it at dinner when everyone is at the table." I told her.

"I called the police today." I told my family
