Waves of time

I remember how you smile
when you look at me,
I remember how happy you were whenever you're with me,
But just like the letters
carve in the sand,
Our love was washed away by the waves of time.

If only I could stop that wave
from coming I did,
But I couldn't do anything, but stare,
Stare in our love that is
slowly fading away.

If I could pause, repeat
and stop, I wish I did,
So I could cherish our
memories and to repeat
it all over again,
I knew I would never
find someone like you.

'Cause whenever I'm with someone
I couldn't stop thinking of you,
On how I took you for granted,
I thought we could carve
those letters again and again
Not thinking that you are tired.

I remember how lucky I am,
On how you held my hands so tight,
Swinging it back and forth
Not caring on what we
would bump into.

If only I know how to surf
I would train to,
So I could ride that waves,
And took you with me forever.

But I couldn't do anything,
but to look at you,
To look at you while you are
surfing with someone new,
And from that moment I knew...
Our love is washed away by
the waves of time.
