"DO you suspect anyone in particular?" jennie continued her never ending list of questions.

"not really. none of my friends would do this." jisoo innocently.

"that's what they all say." she stopped and her eyes widened. "oh my god! i forgot, we have a test tomorrow."

"did you just remember that?" jisoo laughed. jennie shook her head in response. "i could help you."

"how? by teaching me? there's no way i'll be able to study that much." her body slumped onto the bed. "i'm gonna fail."

the corners of jisoo's mouth tugged into a smirk. "trust me, you won't. i'll handle it." the sound of the door downstairs creaking open was heard. "jennie, i'm home." a woman's voice called.

"my mom's here, go hide!" jennie began panicking. "don't worry she won't be able to see me." jisoo said dryly as she sat cross legged on the bed examining her new phone.

the door knob twisted and a woman in her late thirtees entered the room. "hey mom." jennie lay on her bed scrolling through her phone pretending as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

"are you alone? i heard voices." her mother asked. jisoo was right next to jennie yet was invisible to jennie's mother.

"no, i'm all alone. i don't even have any friends mom." jennie laughed it off while stressing out on the inside.

"okay then. go to sleep, it's quite late." she exited closing the door behind her.

jennie let out a sigh of relief. "that was close." she said causing jisoo to chuckle. "don't worry jendeukie, we won't be caught."

"jendeukie?"

"that's your new nickname." the other girl hummed happily.

"now go to sleep. trust me, you'll get good grades tomorrow. i have to go now." she said stroking jennie's hair.

the distance between them was getting shorter and jennie tensed up a little. before jennie could question jisoo's claim, the girl disappeared into thin air. and if has on cue the door to her room jolted open and her mom entered looking more confused.

"now i'm sure i heard you talking with someone." she insisted.

"you must be hearing things then." jennie chuckled. "there's no one here."

her mother's eyebrows knitted in confusion. she could've swore she heard voices. "you're right i must be hearing things. i should go to sleep." she left the room clutching her head.

jennie was still not sure if she should trust jisoo about the test. she would probably do something but jennie was still torn. in the end fatigue won her over. "i'm counting on you jisoo." jennie texted her before her eyes drooped close.
