09 | biology test.

JENNIE woke up in the morning with a feeling of dread in her stomach. she hated tests but who didn't? she got up and went through her usual routine.

she was doing her hair when she heard the ding! sound for her phone. somebody had sent her a text and it was none other than jisoo.

JISOO.
meet me in the school
washroom on the 2nd
floor before your test.

jennie furrowed her eyebrows. why did jisoo want to meet her in the washroom?

she reached school with a few minutes to spare. the test was supposed to begin in 15 minutes. she rushed to the washroom only to find it empty.

just when she thought jisoo hadn't shown up and began to leave a hand pulled her in. she almost screamed but stopped when she realised it was jisoo.

"you fucking scared me." she gasped.

"you have a biology test right? give me your biology book." she demanded completely ignoring jennie's previous words.

she dug into her school bag and handed jisoo the biology book. jisoo grinned. "okay now you can go write your test."

"but i don't know anything." jennie frowned.

"don't worry just trust me." jisoo insisted pushing jennie out.

the younger girl almost tripped bumping into another person. "sorry." she bowed. looking up she saw sooyoung a mixed look of confusion and fear on her face.

"wh-who were you talking to?" sooyoung asked with a trembling voice.

"oh shit." jennie thought to herself, thinking that they had been caught. "no one." she tried to sound as confident as possible.

"are you sure?" sooyoung asked still doubting jennie's answer.

"yes i'm sure. i gotta go now i have a test. see you today at your house." jennie excused herself walking away.

she walked with quick steps and reached the classroom. half the students were in all panic mode, hastily flipping through the pages of their books. the other half didn't really seem to care, some were on their phones, some talking with their friends and jennie was surprised to find a guy, junhoe even peacefully taking a nap.

their biology teacher, choi seunghyun walked into the classroom and handed out the test papers. her heart dropped as soon as she opened the first page. she knew absolutely nothing.

her mind was now panicking. just then she saw a familiar figure standing near the teacher's desk. it was jisoo. but only jennie could see her.

she walked over to jennie and whispered softly so that only jennie could hear it. "c, the first answer is c."

jennie did as she was told. this went on repeating. jisoo saw the questions, disappeared for a while and then came back again to whisper the answers to jennie.

she was the first one to finish the test but the feeling of guilt inside her didn't go away. jennie was usually the type who never ever cheated. she was usually a diligent student.

she walked out the class with a heavy heart. "you did good on the test!" jisoo exclaimed happily appearing in front of her as she sat alone in the library.

"yeah but i cheated. it feels wrong." she sighed.

"but you didn't study for a good reason. you were solving a murder case." jisoo gave her an honest smile trying to cheer up the younger girl.

"this is the first time i ever cheated."

"there's a first time for everything." jisoo winked. "also you're probably the only one who can claim that a ghost girl whispered biology answers into your ear."

the librarian heard chuckling and angrily walked towards the source of the noise ready to scold some students but instead saw jennie sitting alone and focusing on the book in front of her.

the librarian thinking something was wrong with her ears turned back as the two girls grinned.
