SUNDAY mornings felt like blessings. sundays always compensated for the lack of sleep during the rest of the days. as soon as she woke up, the first thing jennie always did was check her phone. 11:08 am was the time according to what her phone told her. after going through her phone for a few minutes, she trudged to the bathroom. in the mirror she her puffy morning face as she brushed her teeth. after getting ready she headed down to get her breakfast because she was famished.

breakfast was indeed the best part of her mornings. the sweet smell of pancakes hit her as she entered the kitchen. "pancakes!" she exclaimed in excitement.

her mother smiled. "good morning to you too jennie."

"where's dad?" she asked as she munched on her pancakes before remembering her dad had to work on sunday. "oh nevermind. i just remembered."

"sweetie, will you do me a favor?" her mom asked in a pleading tone as she sat at the table beside jennie.

"yeah." jennie mumbled.

"your dad forgot his lunch. can you take it up to the station for him, please?" her mom wore a soft expression. it was something jennie couldn't say no to.

"okay fine. i need to get some supplies for school too. might as well give dad his lunch."

"thank you so much jen." her mother shot her a grateful smile before returning to her chores.

in a few minutes jennie was out, her dad's lunch in one hand and her phone clutched in the other. the sun softly kissed her cheeks and the warm air hugged her body. the weather was better than it was the day before. the sun beamed and the sky was a bright shade of blue. the police station wasn't too far away so jennie decided to walk instead of taking the bus.

she reached the police station and headed to her father's desk while bowing and smiling at her father's colleagues who recognised her. they were all familiar faces. she saw them frequently when they came over for dinners at her house or a time like this when she had to bring her father something he had forgotten.

"oh, hello honey." he said looking up from the papers he was busy looking at.

"hey dad. here's your lunch." she said placing the lunch box on his table.

"thank you so much dear. ah! old age is getting to me. i can't seem to remember things." the wrinkles near his eyes deepened when he smiled, making him look older than he was.

"no problem but the next time you forget your lunch, i'm not going to bring it to you." she threatened teasingly. "bye dad." she said. "don't be late tonight."

she walked past a room on her way to the exit. she glanced at the door.

CASE FILES.

it said. the door was obviously locked. she remembered the set of silver keys dangling by her father's desk. she remembered the set of silver keys dangling by her father's desk. jennie bit her lips when an idea that would probably land her in trouble came to her mind.

she took a second to think about it. it was risky, very risky. no, she shook her head at the thought. she could never do that. she sighed and resumed her journey back to her home.

as she walked home, the memories of the raven haired girl filled her mind. jisoo made her feel emotions she didn't know existed. the warm and tingly feeling in the pit of her stomach whenever jisoo's eyes met her own. the millions of fireworks erupting in her when jisoo's cold fingers touched her.

maybe she was falling for her.

jisoo was ethereal and jennie knew she could never call jisoo her own. but her heart still yearned for her.

that's when she made up her mind. she didn't care if jisoo wasn't human. she didn't care that she would be going against nature's laws.
all she cared about was that she was madly falling head over heels for her.

and she needed to confess.
