---Calvin---
Of all the people in the world, it had to be Jonah Holland. Calvin felt his hatred for his former friend burning inside him. And he could never forget what he did, as much as he tried to eliminate the backstabber from his mind.
~~~2 years ago~~~
A 13 year old Calvin brushed the hair out of his face and leaned back on the bench. "You gonna pass me the bag or sit there stuffing them to your face you pig" he said playfully shoving the boy next to him, who looked at him and grinned. "You gonna go talk to her or just sit staring at her you freak" his dark haired friend shot back. Calvin laughed. "Jonah, not cool dude". Jonah smirked and shrugged it off. But then he looked
all serious. "Look dude, you've been my best friend since we were 9 and I can tell you really like her, so just go talk to her. I mean look at her" he said gesturing to a girl around 13 as well sat on the bench on the opposite side of the playground. "Of all the girls in the entire school you could be scared to talk to. She's not even scary. Its Meg Murray for Christs sake!" Calvin sighed. It was no secret to him or his best friend how much he liked her, and he couldn't keep the smile off his face as he watched the dark haired girl flip the page on her book and settle back into her corner of the bench. And before he could say something else, Calvin's phone buzzed. "Ah dang it! Its my mom I gotta go" he said, picking up his bag. "Ill see you at school?" Jonah rolled his eyes. "Just, promise me you'll text her?". Calvin nodded and walked away, unaware that the second his back was turned, Jonah had made a beeline for the girl.---Meg---
~~~Still 2 years ago~~~
Meg looked up as the wind swept across her face. She looked around the park another time, and her gaze fell upon the two boys sat on the opposite bench, specifically the one laying back looking relaxed but who also seemed to be staring at her. Was the Calvin O'Keefe really just looking at her? And his best friend, Jonah Holland. He was too. They always seemed to be at the park when she was, even once when she was still here past midnight. Meg blushed and looked down at her book. Okay, she thought, Harry Potter.
But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't push Calvin out of her mind. His gorgeous blue eyes, his beautiful smile, the adorable way he did absolutely everything.
She looked up another time at Calvin and she felt her heart drop as she saw him leaving. He looked at her and she quickly looked at her book again.
'Harry reached for his wand, but too late - the dog had made an enormous leap and his front paws hit him on the chest.' Meg felt the weight on the bench shift slightly. She looked over at who it was, and promptly held her breath.
"Hey" said the boy sat next to her. "You're Meg right?" Meg smiled at him. "Yeah. And arent you Jonah Holland?" She asked, closing her book.
"That's me". Jonah looked around nervously.
Meg blushed slightly as he suddenly moved closer to her. Megs heart raced and she melted into the conversation. So much so, in fact, that she didn't notice her phone screen light up.
