---Calvin---
He was full of questions. Why was he back? Hadn't he said he'd be longer? And why hadn't Calvin seen him around school? And it was as though Meg could here his thoughts, because she finally turned around to him and said, "Calvin, this is my old...friend Jonah. We lived right next to each other when we were 7, but his family moved away because his dad was in the army" Meg explained, before turning back to Jonah. "So how long have you been back?"
Jonah shrugged and ran a hand through his dark brown hair that flopped over his face. "A couple of days maybe? I dont really know. I was gonna come by and see you, but I didn't know if you still lived in the same place". Jonah said coolly.
Calvin didn't like him. He couldn't trust him. He knew he was hiding a lot deeper secrets than just what hair product he used.
But no matter how dodgy Calvin knew he was, Meg didn't see it.She laughed and talked with him, and didn't even seem go notice when Calvin smiled distantly, stood up and walked away from the park, away from the bench, away from Meg.
---Meg---
She didn't realise how long she had been talking to Jonah until she felt her phone buzz twice in her pocket.'2new messages' the screen read.
The first was from her mom:Mom: Meg you need to come home dinner's ready x
"Anything wrong?" She heard Jonah say.
Meg shut her phone and looked back at Jonah.
"Nah, just my mom saying I gotta go home" she sighed. But she couldn't help smile at how nervous Jonah suddenly looked. "Could I maybe call you later?" He said, and Meg couldn't shake he feeling she'd heard that recently. But She smiled and nodded as she turned around and walked back towards the park gates.
And it was only then when she remembered she had to open another text, so she clicked open her texts and saw it was from Calvin.C: Im sorry I left without saying goodbye but you seemed deep in conversation with that kid in the park xx
M: no I'm sorry for ignoring you, its just I haven't seen Jonah in so long xx
C: Jonah? Jonah Holland? Xx
M: yeah! You remember him?xx
C: We were friends before he changed xx
M: Changed??xx
C: Doesnt matter I'll tell you some other time xx
C: Just keep an eye on him and try not to trust. him too much xx
But before Meg could question him more, he texted her goodnight and she got to her doorstep.
Ah well, she thought. She could just talk to him tomorrow, everything would be fine then. Right?---Jonah---
As soon as Meg left, he sprinted back into the woods and pulled up his black hood. He slowly walked around the trees, but stopped he heard something, someone behind him.
"You know, we must stop meeting like this" he heard someone say. Jonah chuckled and smiled at the ground. "Stop telling me to meet you here then" he said turning around. And he found himself staring straight into a young girls emerald green eyes. "Now now, no need for that tone with your favorite cousin is there?" She said sweetly.
Jonah rolled his eyes. "What do you want A? I did what you asked me to. I distracted her until Calvin eventually walked home on his own. That's what you wanted. Calvin alone. Wasn't it?"
The girl sighed impatiently. "The plan isn't working. They're still friends. And its getting to the point where Meg is willing to admit she likes him more than that." She froze and suddenly smiled sadistically at Jonah. "We need to get rid of Meg" she whispered. She moved closer. "And this is what we're gonna do"...~~~~~~~~
