"Aria come down here!!!"
I pulled my duvet over my knees and adjusted my laptop in my lap.I take off my headset and muffle it with a pillow.
"But Doctor! I'm playing Dungeons and Dragons!!!" I yell downstairs.
I pick up my headset again.
"Sorry Af, I have to go."
"Aw but you just got on..."
"Sorry the Doctor needs me."
"It's always the doctor with you."
"Oh shush he's downstairs."
I exit the videocall and set my laptop on my dresser, pulling on a sweatshirt and walking downstairs.
The Doctor stops me In the hallway,
"What is it Doctor, you know Tuesday is my D&D day..."
"Shush! Just close your eyes and come with me."
My mind starts reeling at the possibilities.
I mentally slap myself for thinking in the way I was.
"Okay open up your eyes!"
Two plates were set at opposite ends of the breakfast table, a bowl of scrambled eggs and a plate of cinnamon rolls sat in the middle of the table.
The Doctor had made me breakfast.
"Oh, Doctor..."
"I've officially been staying here for a month now... I thought I would do something to show you my gratitude."
I wipe the goofy smile off my face and try to stop myself from blushing.
"Oh it's nothing, you would've done the same for me."
"You, Aria, are truly something wonderful."
He pats me head sits down.
I wish my cherry red cheeks were as easy to deal with as the cheesy smile stuck to my face.

"Don't bring the Doctor to Torchwood ever again." Cass spits in my face when I walk into headquarters.
"He gets bored at home!"
"He tried to 'fix' project 11!"
"What did you expect? He is the doctor for crying out loud!"
Cassidy stomps away frustrated, and I walk off to go find Jack.
To my surprise he had his nose in a book, and when I walked in, I swear he bumped a foot in the air.
He wipes a stack of papers off the table, flustered-like.
"Ari... Hi..."
"Is that the TARDIS manual?"
"The doctor threw that in a supernova."
"Oh. Then how will you ever get it back in the sky? How much longer will it take for it to get fixed?"
"Ari, I have something to tell you."
I sit down and glare at him.
"Jack..."
"Aria, the TARDIS has been fixed for weeks now."
"WHAT!!!" I explode.
"YOU MADE ME GO ALL THAT TIME WITHOUT FLYING! DO YOU KNOW HORRIBLE IT FEELS TO HAVE YOUR WINGS FOLDED FOR A MONTH?! TRY SITTING DOWN FOR A MONTH! SEE HOW BAD YOUR BUTT HURTS-""ARIA!" He screams at me- shutting me up.
"The Doctor told me to keep it a secret from you so he could spend time with you."
I sink back in my chair.
I think both of my hearts just stopped.
All the breath escapes my lungs and I sit there in a trance like state, slowly pulling up my knees so I can cradle myself.
"The Doctor... wanted to spend time with me...?" I squeak.
"Yes Aria. In fact, he is planning something for tonight."
"He is planning something tonight?"
"Yes."
"What kind of something...?"
We sit there for what felt to me like hours until he smirks and looks down at the floor.
"A date."
