"Listen to me Virgil! He'll love them! They go great with his new outfit! I even know how to sew so I can change the old ones out for these!" Patton rambled excitedly about the new buttons he had just bought.
"Logan's not the jewelry person Patton."
"I know I know but they remind me of him so I had to get them!" Patton smiled and glances down at the book he held carefully in his hands. Once he and Virgil had made it to the town Patton had immediately began exploring and found a beautiful button set. He stared at the silver buttons that had delicate designs of indents that looked like stars with a few moons as well. They reminded him so much of his nerd that loves astronomy.
"You sound like you're in love Patton." Virgil huffed. Patton's cheeks turned a slight pink that was almost barley noticeable. He knew he was blushing but ignored it.
"Well anyone would be lucky to have Logan, Virgil. Though that doesn't mean I'm in love with him. I do love him! He's my best friend!"
"I thought I was your best friend?" Virgil asked slightly smiling but mocking offense.
"You are! Tied with Roman!"
"Really? You can't have more than one best friend Patton that defeats the purpose of one being the best." Virgil reasons. Patton just shakes his head smiling.
"But everyone's my best friend! I love everyone!!" Patton lungs and hugs Virgil lovingly.
"Noooo," Virgil whined, "I don't do hugsssss."
"Embrace it!"
"Was- was that a dad joke?"
"Yes! Now hug me back or I won't let go till we get back to the castle." Patton declared. Virgil hesitantly wrapped his arms around Patton's shoulders hiding his smile. Patton almost squealed when he felt Virgil's arms around him. He let go slowly and smiled directly at Virgil. "Okay now come on the advisory meeting should be over by now!" Patton skipped ahead to the castle entrance where a guard nodded and let him and Virgil in.
"Have a good day Patton." The guard said when he opened the gate.
"You too!" Patton said giving the guard a high five. "Verge come! Let's go find the others!" He lead the way back to what they assumed was the Kings room where they did find the others. Thomas stood in front of a mirror looking at the crown on his head almost apprehensively. Roman was laid back on the large bed where next to him Logan was sat straight reading a book. Upon closer inspection Patton discovered it's the History of the Rosa Eden Kingdom.
"Can you believe I have my own kingdom?" Thomas asked when he noticed the other two sides enter the room.
"I know! Rosa Eden is such a cool name for a kingdom! What is a Rosa Eden?"
"Patton a rosa eden is a simple light pink and white rosa. Though it wasn't introduced until 1985 by Meilland in France which makes it seem out of place here as we appear to be in the medieval times around what I would assume is the 13th century way before the flowers introduction." Logan explained. The others all seemed lost but Patton was just nodding along happily.
"Wow." Patton said breathlessly. "This is why you are the drama turg."
"I guess you are right Patton." Logan exclaimed. "Now do tell us about the town?"
"Oh it's so cute! Everything is cobble and rustic and so warmy! Everyone was so kind and helpful! I got you a gift Logan!" Patton said holding out the small box he held. Logan took it slowly and opened it. Looking inside he smiles and picked one up, looking at the delicate designs.
"This is very thoughtful of you Patton. I will need to change them out immediately." He said thanking the bubbly trait. Roman and Thomas leaned in to see the buttons as well and smiled at them.
"Patton you are the best at gifts."
