Chapter Six. His Sister's Keeper.

-17 Years Ago-

"Mom, please, let me get a doctor." Bellamy begged his mother who was gripping onto the end of the bed, straining. I softly rubbed her back frantically shaking my head at Bellamy.

"No! You two can't tell anyone." She sucked in a breath through her teeth and I took a step back from her sliding down to my knees looking at the sweat glisten on her face. "Tell me what happens if you do. Say it" she said letting her dark eyes that mirrored Bellamy's back and forth between us.

"You get floated" we struggled to get out as tears glimmered in Bellamy's eyes and I put my hand on his. My hand being much smaller then his even at that age. Ms. Blake sucks in a breath of air and stars to push gritting her teeth. "I don't understand, why is it wrong to have more than one baby?" Bellamy shakes his head slowly keeping his eyes on his mother.

"The Ark couldn't survive. The Chancellor can't allow it" She put her hand back leaning more on the bed and I moved my hand away from Bellamy knowing the baby was going to come any second and I softly would pat her knee.

"He's like the emperor right?" Bellamy asked his dark orbs glancing into mine and I try to give him a soft smile at his distraught face.

"Augustus" I muttered softly. Ms. Blake nods her head forcing a smile on her face. Looking at each of us.

"That's right. Just like the emperor we read about." I quickly glanced back at the book sitting on the table that we had been reading over and over the past few years, whenever I made it over to the Blake's room when I wasn't being forced to train. My eyes quickly went back to Ms. Blake when she said the baby was coming. Bellamy grabbed the blanket off of the bed yanking it close to him as I had held a cloth up patting her forehead, she groans out into the silence and a small squishing sound appears that I have never heard before and before I knew it a babies cry filled the air. I could feel the heat rush to my face, the baby was beautiful. I already knew she was going to have the same sharp jawline as Bell and a head full of dark hair. Bellamy quickly wrapped the baby up in the blanket, her eyes already open and wondering around the room. I slid down to my knees next to Bellamy brushing one finger along the baby's head. "My brave boy, you have a sister. " I smiled softy as Bellamy got a little closer to his mom and I let my hands drop in my lap looking at the three. I could feel my sadness creeping up on me but I wasn't going to let it take over. "You should name her" 

"Augustus had a sister" I twiddled with my fingers as Bellamy did a small smirk, that emperor was defiantly one of his favorites. "Octavia" She started to fuss a little, I kept my ears open listening for any sounds coming from outside of the door. 

"Bellamy, you can't let her cry" I announce softly not wanting to interrupt the moment the little family was having. 

"Here give her to me" Ms. Blake said looking over to me and I could tell in her eyes she had forgotten I was there for a moment. I didn't blame her, she did just have a baby after all. Bellamy slowly leaned over about to give Octavia over to his mother when she groaned in pain and I got up getting on the other side of her. Trying to pat her head with cold water. 

"No mom you can't fall asleep"

"So tired" She leaned her head back a little and let her eyes wonder over to her son. "Your sister. Your responsibility" She said softly, then her eyes found mine. My heart slightly skipped, her eyes felt like the were melting into my soul. "Protect them fiercely, no matter how much pain befalls you" my mouth is slightly open at her words. I didn't know what to say so I closed my mouth tight lipped and nodded. Then Octavia starts to cry and it becomes louder as Ms. Blake passes out probably from pain and blood loss. 

"Mom, mom, what do I do? mom!" Bellamy starts to get anxious trying to wake his mother but there was no waking her from the trial she just went through.
