I ran. The police would catch me, that I knew. But I wanted a few days of freedom at least. I have been doing all the things I couldn't do before like, climbing trees and eating chocolate. But I can't shake off the feeling of guilt inside me. I killed two people.

It was getting dark and I was tired. So, I made my way to a friend's house and told her my foster parents had kicked me out. It kind of resembled the truth. She let me stay at her house and lent me the spare bedroom.

On the comfortable bed, I lay awake for what seemed like forever. Finally I fell into a light and uneasy sleep.

"Ah, Lake, you are awake." It was a soft woman's voice.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am Ocean. Welcome to my realm. You are my chosen one." Came the voice.

I looked around. There were lakes and waterfalls and I felt extremely at ease.

"There is much you need to know. But our time is up. We shall talk again soon, Lake."
