**LUKES POV**
Emily winters was the type of girl you don't let slip away. My life was great I had money, music and girls across the world that wanted me, but all that doesn't equal an Emily winters. Not even close.
In her mind we had only known eachother vaguely in school and then of course from the few hours we spent together last night. For me, I was stuck with years of memories and no one to share them with.
But as we drove down this vacant road to our venue I knew she was going to remember. She had to.
"What?" she mumbled bashfully as we were stopped at a red light. My eyes had been shamelessly trained on her face admiring the features I hadn't been able to see for months. The accident damaged her brain but not her beauty.
"I just think your really pretty." I said.
She blushed slightly before subtly moving her hair to cover side of her face. I laughed at her being so shy. I had seen more of her than she was aware of.
"Thanks." she said.
We drove some more and finally we arrived at a local spot named 'the showbox'. It was a nice location where all the Seattle hipsters gathered for concerts. I cringe at the amount flower crowns.
"I think I've been here before." she said walking through the doors of the empty building.
"Really? When?"
"I don't know it just feels familiar. But anyways why is it so dead I thought you guys had a concert?"
"Aw yes! But since your the guest of honor I figured you needed a special tour before the rush of fans arrive. Now if you'll follow me were going to meet the boys."
"What if they don't like me?" she worried. The boys loved Emily like a sister. But I may have forgotten to tell them that I saw her last night and I'm praying to god these three idiots don't say anything to confuse her.
We walked backstage and my heart was pounding so hard I was concerned she might hear it.
"Boys!" I called resting my hand on her lower back. She slightly leaned into my touch and I couldn't help but smile. It felt like we were picking up where we left off, but I had to constantly remind myself to take it slow.
"Why the fu-" Michael walked into the small room and his sentence was cut short as he saw Emily. An awkward stare ensued between them and I couldn't think of anything to say that would ease this tension.
"Emily." he nearly whispered.
"Hi?" she awkwardly greeted.
the others walked in and did the same as Michael, stopped dead in their tracks and stared.
"Emily, what are you, you're, I." Calum stuttered out.
"Boys this is Emily! We went to school together. I saw her, well ran into her, literally, at the mall yesterday. small world huh? The girl I was talking about last night" I said nonchalantly. I had hoped she assumed I told them her name last night, otherwise that would be hard to explain.
"From school?" Ashton finally spoke. "Oh, I see." His face dropped slightly. I think he had finally realized that she had no recollection of any of this or us.
"This is Michael, Calum, and Ashton." I pointed to each one of them As they all gave her awkward waves. It would have been humorous in any other circumstance.
"Hey Luke can we speak to you?" Michael questioned tightly. I followed them out of the small dressing room and into the hall. I gave Emily an apologetic look before closing the door.
"What the actual fuck! That's Emily! Your girlfriend that got in a fucking plane crash and lost her memory! Our bestfriend. Did you see how she looked at us? she had no fucking clue! why is she here?" Michael exploded. Him and Emily were close, like siblings. when the accident happened her parents shut us all out. Anyone involved with me didn't meet the winters family expectations. I lost her, we all did and it wrecked us. She was the only reason this band got together. When she was in the coma we almost gave up, but we kept going, for her.
"I saw her, and I fell in love all over again. This is my chance to get her back. She doesn't remember now, but I won't stop until she does. I'm going to bring her to every place we've ever been, recreate our past. It's gonna work boys I know it."
"And if it doesn't." Ashton, always the sensible one.
"Then atleast she'll have the memories. It may not be at the same time mine are set but in a small way I can feel like the accident didn't happen. I love her, and this whether it works or not is worth it because I get to be with her and that's enough."
"Luke Hemmings you are sickly romantic. I mean it's disgusting." Michael rolls his eyes.
"Were obviously going to help." Calum announced. A wide grin took over my face. Me and the boys looked at each other in silent agreement before heading back into the room. Operation get Emily back was in full swing.
"Is everything alright?" Emily asked as we entered the room.
"It's great! better than that actually. The boys and I just didn't believe that he could get someone as hot as you." Michael explained. I swiftly smacked the back of his head not happy with that explanation.
"Oi! that was not necessary." he grumbled. Emily giggled slightly and my heart melted. Call me a sap, but when you haven't heard that perfect sound in over six months you forget how nice it is.
"Let's continue our adventure shall we?"
"You really like adventures don't you?" she asked with a smirk that was so sexy I painfully resisted grabbing her face and kissing her.
"Adventures are fun!" I grabbed her hand and left the boys behind.
