David punched him right in the face. Max's dad screamed as he fell backwards, his grip on max leaving.

"HOLY SHIT DAVID-" Max's eyes widened at his actions.

David just looked at him rubbing his knuckles. Max's dad gets up, his nose drawing blood to his chin.

"You'll be hearing about my lawyers! Take that stupid kid for all I care!" He boasted going into his car, slamming the door and driving away quickly.

David huffs as he puts his hand on Max's shoulder.

"Come on max." He spoke, walking away to his own car.

Max stayed in the same place, speechless. Why would David, the most happy and outgoing man punch someone in the face? Even for him, a horrible ruthless kid. He walked towards a log sitting down, he looked at the sky, with the sun going down.
David stretches calling max.

"Max were leaving!" He yelled smiling.

Max got up startled, walking to him.

"To were idiot? I don't know if you can't hear what the devil said to you." he huffed, not letting the sarcastic tone leave him.

He wouldn't admit it to David's face, but he was still confused of his actions and a little scared of him.

"To my house of course max" he smiled, widely at the kid.

Max stayed silent as he got in the car, David did as well. The atmosphere tense and awkward.

"So max, do you have a phone?" David spoke loudly, trying to break the atmosphere.

"Obviously, every kid has it." He replied, looking out the window.

David soon started to talk about things he planned for next summer, for the camp. Max stayed silent as he watched the trees pass by the window. What will happen to him now? Will he have to go back to his hell home or stay with the ray of sunshine? He yawned as his eyes blurred.

"Goodnight max." David cooed.

Those were the last words the jaded boy heard, when he fell asleep.
