Bonding

Max and David sighed loudly as they got into the house, almost both falling on the couch.

"What a day." David said quickly chuckling.

"It went smoother than I thought." Max said gruffly holding the bear in his arms.

David chuckles as he rubbed the boy's head. Max glared at him but made no movement to stop the older happy tree man.

"Let's go do something fun max! I want to treat you while your here!" David chirped as he quickly got up, grabbing the jaded boy.

"Fuck off I don't need no shit!" Max screamed as David got him somehow quickly in the car. Max would never admit that he was excited beyond belief, excited that he finally got to go somewhere then stay at home locked up in his room.

The drive was quick, only 20 minutes but they passed by as David talked about random things, max actually talking about whatever subjects the happy man would bring up.

"We are here !" David exclaimed as he got the boy out of the car.

Max looked around, putting his hands in his pockets as he looked up at the open mall, a small tint of excitement in them as he and David made their way there. He smiled happily as max casually looked threw clothes he liked, trying some on.

"Max that looks great on you! I'll take this one please." He spoke to the lady.

She smiled grabbing the shirt and sweater.

"David you don't have too.." Max gently said.
A small smile on his face as David insisted on buying him those clothes.

After a while the mall stared to get crowded, more people came soon making it difficult for the boy to find David.

"David!" Max shouted as he lost him, soon running around the crowds of people shaking harshly until someone grabbed his hand, immediately he was about to scream until a soft calmness came over him as he saw who it was.

"Max it's okay, I'm here." David gently cooed smiling.

Max sighed of relief whipping the sweat off his face as he followed David. Although the people got less crowded the more they walked, and David let go of his hand max soon held it again, feeling safe. This surprised David as he gave a small flinch.

"Huh? The fucks wrong with you?" Max replied gruffly

"Ah I- I just saw this really cute sweater I think you would like!" He grabbed a random sweater soon showing it to max.

The sweater had a soft purple tint, a tree in front of it with a soft blue. To his surprise max smiled. A genuine smile as he took the sweater putting it on.

"It fits...perfectly? Huh to think I would grab a sweater that had a fucking tree on it." He chuckles

David's eyes widened as he chuckles ruffling his head.

"How much for it?"

"20."

"Here you go!" He handed the woman the money, soon grabbing the rest of the bags, max helped as well grabbing some of them.

"We had a great day after all huh max?!" He spoke up after a small silence.

"Yeah actually, I had fun David, and thanks for the clothes I...loved them.." max giggled quickly soon getting in the car, David soon after.

"Want to watch a movie once we get home?" David giggled

"Yeah sure." Max chuckles.

The car ride was a bit longer than usual, both boys tired but content as it was left in a comfy silence.

As they got in the house bags at hand, David put them on the table as max switched on the tv putting on 'Jurassic park.'
They both sat at the couch watching the movie, both happy and content with the day.

~A few hours later~

As the credits rolled in, David woke up gently rubbing his eyes.

"I guess I slept threw it huh max?" He softly spoke pausing as he saw the scene before him.

Max laid gently by his side, his head on David's chest and his legs gently rolled up to his arms, he held onto David's shirt gently snoring.
David smiles gently rubbing his head softly, grabbing a nearby blanket and wrapping it around both of them.

"Goodnight Max.." he softly whispered, smiling hugging the small boy.

"Goodnight David.." he whispered gently, falling asleep close to him.
