Don't leave me

The heart monitor beat slow beats, death almost coming to the happy tree man as his son sat in a chair close to his bed.
He refused to eat, drink, hell even sleep as he had his hand holding his dad's.

"Why did you protect me? I...I can't risk losing you, I hate you so much and yet..."

A harsh sob came from his mouth as he closed his eyes tightly sobbing, sobbing his heart out wishing he would wake up.

The nurse gently went into the room, saddened at the sight of the little boy.

"Max.." she softly spoke

Max quickly rubbed his eyes, tears still falling.

"Please leave me alone.." He chocked out.

"Max if you don't eat, you won't be able to have enough strength to when your dad wakes up.." she gently said.

Bringing a tray of food to him. Something clicked in the little boy's eyes as he immediately started to eat the food quickly, she smiled sadly as she went to get more for him. She shortly came back and he finished it, soon taking the other tray of food he finally finished it, full. The tiny boy yawned sleepily as he laid his head on the soft bed, he still held David's hand, but much more gently now.

The nurse smiled warmly "It's okay to sleep max, if he wakes up. You'll know." She scooed softy.

The boy listened to her, gently closing his eyes sleepily yawning as he muttered his last words before falling into sleep.

"Don't leave me" He softly muttered before sleeping.

The nurse clutched her shirt as she looked at the saddened boy, how much pain he must have endured during the situation he was in.
She gently grabbed a blanket covering him, leaving the room switching off the lights.
