Scars

It was like the silence stretched for hours, David feeling the jaded boy shake slightly as he heard that sentence. It had seem as if he felt scared, so weak, but then he responded.

"....fine..." he almost said it in a hushed way.

Max soon walked to him, gently handing him the stuffed bear. David grabbed him putting him on the table as max rolled up his sleeves, a hitched breath came from David as he held his small arms, max flinching at the soft gesture.

"They did this to you...I...I should have known from you wearing your sweaters all the time.." he whispered softly.

Trailing his hands over the wounds, max flinched as he did so wincing in pain.

"David it's f-"

"NO ITS NOT!" David raised his voice.

Max immediately covered his face instinctively shaking, David immediately realized what he did grabbing the boy quickly wrapping his arms around his frail body. Max's eyes widened at the gesture as warmth surrounded him, he closed his eyes not hugging back.

"I'm sorry for raising my voice, I won't let them win max, I wont.." he softly whispered holding him tightly.

Max softly pushed his hands against his chest as David stopped hugging him.

"Um..I..I'm still hungry.." max spoke hugging his bear, his breathing was quick. He usually expected a beating after asking for something.

"I'll make you everything I know." David smiles kindly at the boy rubbing his hair as he got up, quickly grabbing supplies. Max slightly blinked as he looked at his stuff animal smiling gently

"Thanks David..I still want it fucking quick" max replied in his harsh tone

"Language! And Your welcome max." David chuckles slightly as the real max came again, as he started to cook more. "And the court order is scheduled for next week, so get comfy as you want!"

"Fuck off" he grumbled as he left to his room.

A small smile on his face as he held the bear in his arms.
