A six year old girl was wandering the Basilica minore, looking amazed at the large statuesque of the church. Walking towards the Altar,She, then heard a beautiful sound coming from the piano. (She has good ear in music) She went towrea where the sound came from, until she reached the balcony of the church where the choir used to sing. She was amazed when she saw a boy at her age, playing soft melodious sound in piano. She came near to the boy.
“ang galling mo naman mag play ng piano” –the girl said
The boy was surprised when he heard the voice a girl. The girl saw the boy blushed. The boy saw her standing in front and smiling at him. He found the girl cute. He felt shy.
“s-s-salamat ha” he said shyly. “d-di ko alam na may nakakapanuod sakin” – smiled again
“okay nga eh, ang galing mo kaya!”he widely smile.
The girl surprised when she heard her mom’s voice at her back.
“ dito ka lang pala, kanina pa kita hinahanap ng papa mo”, the girl's mom worriedly say. She came to her mom and dad.
“sorry po mom dad, iniikot ko lang naman po tong simbahan, ang ganda kasi po, ang gaganda ng statue, at ang galling niya magpiano” pointing the boy.
“hindi naman” the boy answered shyly,
“ikaw ba yung tumutugtog anak?” the girl's dad told the boy
“O-opo” the boy answered
“and galing galing mo naman. At your age you can play complicated piece” the girl's dad.
“you help us pray well” – her mom
“salamat po, nagustuhan nyo ung pini-play ko.” – the boy shyly said.
“of course” the couple said.
“You’re a prodigy” – her mom
An old priest arrived
“Nandito ka naman, sabi ko na. halika na Lawrence at hinahanap ka ng papa mo. Kakain na daw kayo” the priest told the boy
“Magandang hapon po” the girl's mom told the priest.
“Magandang araw din Mr and Mrs, “ the priest told the couple, then he looked at the little girl,
“Hi little cutie”
“Hello po, father” she smiled, she went to the priest, get his hand to her forehead”
“God bless you little girl, how sweet are you!” the priest happily said.
“Your apo po, played piano well po” – the girl told the priest.
“ha ha ha ha” the priest fondly answered, continue “ anug pangalan mo iha? Ang cute cute mo naman”
“Thank you po father, Mayvonne Melendres po”
“hahahaha! Ang bibong bata. Im father manzano po” lend his hand to the couple. “Nice meeting you Mr. and Mrs melendrez, and to you little mayvonne!”
“ Nice meeting you too father manzano. , oh panu po, alis na po kami, naabala na naming kayo po at ni Lawrence”
“okay lang anak, pls be patient with my nephew Lawrence, nakulitan ba kayo sa kanya?”- said father manzano
“ay hindi naman po, katunayan, naaliw kami sa kanya, ang galling nyang magpyano. – her mom.
“napakabehave nya nga eh” her dad.
While the three adults were chatting, the two children made a glimpse to each other.
“May, let's go" mom told her
“halika na Lawrence” Father manzano told the boy.
